Makenzie’s field day

Makenzie had field day at school on Tuesday.  Bebe came to stay with the littles so I could go up there with her.  Makenzie is a cub buddy which means she helps out with the special kids in her class.  This makes me so happy to see her have compassion and kindness towards others.

They got to play all kinds of games, run races, obstacle courses, water games, face painting, scooter races and more.  I checked Kenzie and a friend out of school early.  We came home and played and then went out to dinner and played some more when we got home.

Kenzie has never got to have a friend spend the night on a school night and they were so excited.  Oo

Waterslides and car art

Monday was Memorial Day and we spent the day at Bebe and Papa’s house.  I brought our water slide over and they had a blow up pool too.  The kids had so much fun.

All 3 kids were asleep 5 minutes after being in the car.  I drove around, stopped for a drink and took the long way home letting them sleep.

I drove by our new house to waste some time and check out the progress.

They have started bricking it and it looks so good.  When we got home I got the kids out one at a time and when I got to Makenzie I found this.....

She scratched her name on the console in the back with a rock.  I thought I may beat her so I sent her to her room until dinner.

Lots of swimming

Sunday we took the kids swimming at our community pool.  The water still feels like ice so I stayed out.

Madison scored 2 points in each of her last games.  She says soccer is her favorite thing ever now.  They got medals after their last game.

Landon wanted a picture too.  This little ham will run up anytime he sees the camera out and say cheese.

We took the kids swimming last Wednesday after Madison’s last day of school.  We love being close enough to walk to the pool.

Landon doesn’t love getting in the water but every once in awhile he will get in with Kenzie.

Friday night we went to Amber’s house to swim.

Madison ended up spending the night over there!  Reid is the only boy she can ever spend the night with, and only for a few more years!  They had so much fun!  I was surprised she wanted to and last all night.  She has been going through a pretty clingy phase lately and has me on LoJack at all times.

I caught these two snuggling on the couch watching a movie.

Saturday we were back at the pool with Autumn and the girls.  I can already see how our summer is going to be spent.

Soccer goals and volleyball

Madison decided to make 4 goals at her soccer game.  I screamed so loud all game that I had no voice by the end.  I caught the last 3 on camera and may come back and post later!  She was so excited and I was so proud of her.

I took the littles to stay at Bebe and Papa’s for the afternoon.  When we got there Bebe had made a banner for Madi on the garage.

That afternoon Makenzie had her end of the year volleyball party.

They got awards from the coach and hers was “the best server”. I am so proud of how far she has come this season.  The parents played the kids afterwards and it was so much fun.  We went and picked the littles up from Bebe’s house afterwards.  Landon had fallen asleep watching a movie.

We stopped at Sweet Frog on the way home to celebrate 4 soccer goals and a great volleyball season.

First official swim of summer

Friday started out with Makenzie mad at me and she sat like this the whole way to school not talking to me!  The first of many silent treatments I’m sure.
She was fine after school and we went to Ambers house for our first swim of summer.  The water was too cold for me but the kids had fun.

Jacob came home and grilled some hamburgers and then we played some more!  These two are going to be Madi and Reid all over again.  They are so cute.

Madison watered their garden.  Makenzie was there too just two busy running around to get a picture of.

We ended our night with popsicles!
