Dreaming of Mexico

Today is rainy and dreary outside.  Makes me look forward to our vacation even more.  Scotty and I booked our trip to Mexico for May 6-9. We are going to Excllence Riviera in cancun and couldn't be more excited!! It looks beautiful, and Scotty has some friends that have been and say it's amazing!!!

I can't wait.  It's all inclusive and has TONS to do and see.  I'm so ready for a margarita on the beach! Kenzie will be staying here with he Mimi and Papa, and I'm sure will be spoiled rotten by the time we get back. 

On a side note, I took Kirby to the cleaners today to get all fancied up.  This poor dog has been so neglected since having Kenzie.  He used to have a standing appointment at the cleaners--I'm well aware I'm the only one that calls the groomer, the cleaners!  Now, he's lucky to go once every few months, if that.  His hair is covering his eyes (which have cataracts now, and we have noticed a huge change in his eye sight), and his nails are super long. I can't wait to pick him up today after work.  Poor things hates riding in the car.  I get his blanket laid out to wrap him up in, and he runs and hides from me.  He will shake and pant the whole car ride, and used to throw up.  Now, we know not to feed him the morning of a car ride, and I turn the air down, we found a new place for him to sit--wedged between me and the center console (ontop of my seatbelt buckle), super uncomfortable, but I guess thats where he feels safe.  Kenzie thought it was the funniest thing ever that Kirby was riding with us in the car today.  She kept laughing and saying "kirbdog" over and over.

Baby Mama

I love watching Makenzie play with her babies.  It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.  When we got home tonight, she got a creamer pot out of her kitchen and gave all of her babies a "drink of juice".  She would say "ahh ba-by".  It is so sweet.

She is also getting very good at putting shapes in her shape sorter.  I will say the shape and point to the right spot and she puts it right in.  Sometimes she gets it before I point, pretty sure she's a genius.  I love her to pieces. 

Busy weekend

We had such a busy, fun weekend.  Friday, I picked up Makenzie and went to Aunt Korie's house so Kenzie could play with Dallas.  Shannon and Presley were there too, and we all had a great time hanging out.  Scotty met us there, and John Poe came and cooked us a delicious breakfast dinner. 

The babies were getting restless, so Aunt Korie read them a story--they were totally all into it. It was cute.

Saturday morning, Laura and Bella came over.  Laura was doing my hair and Makenzie and Bella played/destroyed my living room.  They had EVERY single toy out.  It just showed that they had a blast.  Kenzie kept saying "Bella" and even said "Laura" once or twice.  They girls play together really well.  They looked adorable in their matching outfits too.  Laura and I always comment on each others pictures that we have alot of the same clothes.

I love this last picture.  Makenzie wasn't thrilled that Bella was on her horse, and Bella's face is priceless. Like, "I'm really pissing her off by sitting on her horse, haha".

I had to get onto Makenzie for some reason, and this picture shows how she will lay her head down when she gets mad/sad.  It's so cute and makes me laugh everytime.  Mimi came over and picked up Makenzie and took her back home with her.  That night, I had my monthy Keno party.  A bunch of us ladies get together and play a card game, drink wine, gossip, and laugh.  It's always a great time.  I brought Jessica with me, and hopefully she wants to keep coming.  Afterwards, I dropped Jessica off and picked up Scotty and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to hang out and have a drink, or two.  It was nice to spend some alone time together, and to celebrate--Scotty had a really good day at work.

Sunday, Scotty and I got to sleep in--haha yeah right.  My mommy clock is set for 7'ish, even with no kiddo at home to wake me up.  We layed around and got coffee and then went to pick up a playhouse we bough Makenzie off of craigslist.  I can't wait to get it cleaned up and put together--she's going to LOVE it.  We decided to stop by Gloria's and have brunch and Mimosas--it was so yummy.  We found our new brunch spot for sure.  We also went and celebrated with our friends Eric and Jessica at their gender reveal party.  They're having a.....

GIRL.......they have an adorable daughter named Rileigh that is 5, and is going to be a great big sister.  I'm so happy for them!!! 

After the party, we went to pick up my girl.  I missed her so much.  She was passed out on Mimi and Papa's bed.  She must have been super tired because she has never napped anywhere except her bed.  She was excited to see us.  Mimi says Makenzie finally said "Mimi" one time while she was there.  She got a new baby that opens and closes her eyes, and Mimi says it was freaking Makenzie out at first.  She also has picked up a new habit.  For the last few weeks she picks and pulls at the skin on her upper lip in the center.  I thought it was when she would get nervous at first, but now I think its a habit.  Mimi would put lipstick, AKA carmax, on it and would tell her to rub her lips together.  She rubs her lips together but sticks her tounge in and out too--so cute.  I'll get it on video. 

I'm sad to see the weekend over, and dreading my early Monday in the morning. 

Tuesday Tidbits

Happy Tuesday!!!  One day closer to the weekend.  Picked up Makenzie after work and went for a jog/run.  2 days in a row---we're on a roll!! Today was chilly and cloudy.  We ended up going down the main street of our neighborhood and back.
                                              

 We came home and her diaper was super wet, so I took it off while I fixed dinner......well......she peepee's all over the kitchen floor......and I was this close to putting her on the potty after I took her diaper off just to see what would happen, dang it.  So in the kitchen sink she went.

 I made baked ziti a few weeks ago for our friends, the Poes, after they had baby Presley.  It makes two pans so I had one saved in the freezer.  It was yummy!

Baked Ziti:
Ziti noodles--cooked as directed
Brown a pound of hamburger meat and drain
Mix noodles, meat, jar of spaghetti sauce (I use Prego-Fresh Mushroom Italian), and 2 cups of mozzarella cheese. I normally add mushrooms too.
Bake in 9x13 pan covered in foil at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, then top with more cheese and bake additional 5 minutes uncovered.

Makenzie has added a few words these last few days.  When I picked her up today, she kept saying juice and wanted her cup.  And on our walk, she waved and said "hello" or "hi" to all the cars passing or people running by.  It's really cute.  She also has a new not so cute habit.....hitting.  The last few nights if she gets mad or frustrated she swats at me, or the table or whatever is making her mad. I get on to her and she gives me her astonished face--eyes open big and mouth in a big O like she can't believe I just got onto her, and then will take her tiny little hands and cover her eyes and then go lay her head down on whatever is near......it is so freaking cute and so hard not to laugh.  I'll catch a picture sometime!!!

Monday---uggg

Monday's are so hard!!  Uhhh over this week already.  After work, I picked up Makenzie and came home to load her up in the stroller for a walk.

We walked half a mile to a little park and then played for a little while.  She's getting good at climbing up the stairs and loves sliding down.

We had a great time!!  Came home and it was dinner and off to bed.  I can already tell its going to be a LONG week.

Got my computer ba-ack!!!

I'm back on the big screen....finally!!!  Big changes coming to the blog this week!!  I'm having it designed and can't wait to see!!!

 We had a super busy, but fun weekend.  Saturday morning we picked up Laura and Bella and drove to Grapevine to have Valentines Day pictures done.  Makenzie wasn't feeling it.....not one smile.  She was either frowning, crying, or just looking at Tamera, our photographer, with a blank expression. It was awful.  Afterwards, we came home to take a nap, but a certain someone wouldn't sleep so I got her and we layed in my bed and watched cartoons.

 That afternoon we went to Miss Emma's 2nd birthday. Makenzie went crazy over all the balloons they had there, and destroyed her playroom.  It was a fun birthday party.  Can't wait to get those 2 girls together for playdates.

 We met daddy for dinner at Edohana after he got off work.  We actually got to enjoy our meal and she stayed in your highchair semi content.  Woohoo!!  This morning we got to sleep until 9--score!! We went to Rileigh's birthday party, she turned 5.  It was at an indoor pool, but we didn't swim.  Scotty and I chased her around like crazy.  She made us a nervous wreck around that pool.  After that, I took Makenzie to Aunt Kories house to play and watch the superbowl (daddy went to one of his friends house from work).  She had a blast and came home and passed out.  She had a long, busy weekend. 

Tomorrow, I'm waking up early to head to walmart and get groceries for the week.  I start my diet tomorrow.  No cheating, no quiting this time.  Real deal holyfield.  Scotty and I have booked a trip to MEXICO for May.  I am so freaking excited.  So for the next 3 months--I WILL LOSE WEIGHT.  I need to for many reasons.  1.) to be healthy, 2.) to have another baby, 3.) MEXICO=swimsuit, and I am nowhere ready to wear a swimsuit.  I'll keep ya posted on how I'm doing.  Wish me luck.

Whew, it's Friday!!!! We have such a busy weekend ahead, I'm so happy to just relax tonight with my girl!!!

The babysitter sent me a sweet picture of Makenzie and her friend Corbin reading a book together(see below--still haven't figured out how to post a picture and then more wording) It makes me so happy to see her engaging and playing with other kiddos!!

We came home and played outside on the swingset! She is getting so good at climbing and sitting down to go down the slide! Her favorite is swinging!! For dinner we had hot dogs and Mac an cheese, with blueberries or dessert!!! While i was making dinner, she was playing in her kitchen and kept bringing things into my kitchen, so i would tell her to take it back to her kitchen, she would load everything up--under her chin!!! It is the funniest thing! When she runs out of hand space, she just tucks it away under her chin--pretty smart actually!!

I like to take her clothes off for dinner because she is not so good with the spoon and tends to make a mess! But after dinner, she decided she wanted to run around---nekked, so of course I got some hiney shots!!! I'm thinking about starting to potty train soon, so I figured we would try and sit on the potty before our her bath--nothing happened but maybe she'll get used to sitting on it at least!!!

After her bath, I painter her toes for her pictures tomorrow! I used to do it all the time as a baby, but since its been winter I haven't! She sat still an key me do it but had a look of confusion the whole time! Afterwards she walked on the side of her feet as if she couldn't let her ties hit the ground!! Crazy girl!!

My computer is still in the shop, but should be back soon--but for now I have no way to get my pictures off my cameras! I will do a recap post with pics from my camera later!!
