Happy Mother's Day

I am so blessed to be a mommy to Makenzie and Madison!  I dreamed my whole life about being a mommy and my prayers were answered with the two sweetest and most perfect little girls that I could have ever imagined! 

They mean the world to me!!  I am also blessed to have the most wonderful mother to look up to! She is my rock and my best friend!

I hope I can be half the mother to my children that she is to me!  I look up to her in every way possible!  

My girls love their Bebe so much and I love watching them with her!!!

I woke up refreshed after getting to sleep all night!  Best Mother's Day gift!  However, that means our day started at 6:00......oh well, more time to love on my babies!  Scotty, and the girls, cooked me a delicious breakfast!

And they surprised me with a printer!  I have been wanting one and I'm so excited to have it hooked up and ready!  We went to visit Bebe and Papa afterwards and had lunch at their house!

 

We went and visited Grandma and Grandpa too!  I forgot to bring my camera in to get any pictures!  Makenzie had fun playing catch with grandpa and Madison cuddled up to everyone and smiled and giggled!  We headed home and played a little and relaxed!  We got both girls to bed and I got to snuggle with the hubby and watch our show!!!  It was a wonderful Mother's Day!!

Ears pierced

Madison got her ears pierced today!!!  She did really good!  Don't get me wrong, she was mad, really mad, but only for a few minutes!!

Poor girl!  Her big sister didn't like it either!  Kenzie kept telling the lady "stop it, Madi doesn't like it"!  It was so cute!!  

She calmed down pretty quickly afterwards and by the time we left she was over it!!

She looks adorable with her earrings!!!  She wore the same dress Kenzie wore when she got her ears pierced!!

Muffins with Mom

I got to have breakfast with my sweet girl at her school today!!!

She was so excited!  We had muffins and fruit salad and milk!

She gave me a red rose on the way back to her class!  It was so sweet!

I'm so proud to be her mommy!!

Madison is 3 months

My sweet girl is 3 months!!!  I can't believe how fast she is growing up.  Madison is such a joy to be around!!

She is always smiling and happy!!   The last week or so she has really starting cooing and talking!  I love hearing her sweet voice!!

She is wearing 3-6 month clothes and is in a size 2 diaper!  I need to go through her closet and pull out all the stuff she has outgrown!  Madi is eating 3-5 ounces every 3-4 hours and we just switched her to the size 2 nipples! 

She typically will go to bed about 8:30 and has slept all the way through the night 5 days in a row, but the past 2 nights she has woken up around 3:30 for a bottle!  

A typical day for her is to wake up about 6:15 and quickly get dressed for the day, normally by daddy, and we are off to Ashley's house!  She takes 3 bottles over there and I pick her up about 4.  She will normally take a cat nap from about 5:30 to 6 and then will take a bottle and I keep her awake from then on!  

She loves sitting in her bumbo and watching me cook dinner!  She still is not a fan of tummy time and will immediately flip over onto her back!  We get Kenzie ready for bed and I will sit her in her bumbo on Kenzie's bed for story time.  I normally will then put her in the "backpack" while I clean up around the house!  

She is ready for her last bottle about 8:30 and we go in my room for quiet time!  I change her for bed and swaddle her up and feed her! I will rock her until she falls asleep and then move her into her crib and keep my fingers crossed that she stays asleep!  She sleeps with a sound machine playing ocean waves and has a little night light in her room!

She is absolutely precious and I love her to pieces!!  She will instantly smile at you if you look at her and has started giggling!  Last night I noticed when you pull her shirt on or off her head she giggles like crazy! She loves her big sister the most I think!  Her eyes don't leave Kenzie when she is around.  If Madi catches Kenzie look at her, her little face will light up!  I think they are going to be such great friends!!!

Cast off

Kenzie got her cast off today!!! Yay!!!  I was nervous how she would do for the sawing it off, but it wasn't too bad!  They gave her some head phones to wear so it wouldn't be so loud for her!  She kept screaming "don't cut my arm off" over and over, poor girl!!  

Once it was off she still held it and kept her arm by her side! I was a little worried but the doctor assured me that at her age this is normal.  They don't understand that the arm is healed and won't hurt!  She got new x-rays that showed new bone growth which was perfect!  

She was pretty excited once she realized she could suck both of her thumbs now!

Stinker!  When she wouldn't think about it she would use her arm just fine, but if we talk about it or I give it any attention she says it hurts!!!  

She was very happy to finally get to take a good bubble bath!  Her arm stunk so bad that she needed a good soaking!!

This sweet girl is 3 months today!!!

I'll do a whole post on her hopefully tomorrow!  I have to have an endoscopy to see what's going on wih my tummy tomorrow!  Fingers crossed that goes smoothly!

What we've been up to

Bebe came over Friday and spent the night so we could go garage saling Saturday morning!  It was a bust--hardly any garage sales, but mom got some good stuff though!  I came home to the worst headache ever and took a nap cuddling Madi for about an hour and a half!  I didn't have any headache medicine so I packed up both girls and headed to Target!

Thankfully a popcorn and icee occupies the older one!!  They both did great!  We stopped off at Korie's house on the way home and played for a little while!  Kenzie begged to jump on the trampoline with Dallas.....

So I let her, broken arm and all!!!  Don't judge!  Sunday, Madi and I were up bright and early for a day of shopping at Canton!!!  We picked up Sue and Korie and headed out!  Madison did amazing!  She smiled and giggled and slept the whole time!  I was a little nervous to bring her at first but she was no problem at all! 

She just hung out!  She loved looking around at everything and everyone!!  We had a great time and I got some good stuff!!!  And......Madison has slept through the night 3 nights in a row!!!  Woohoo!!

Daddy daughter date

Scotty picked Makenzie up from school today and he suprised her by taking her to Chuckee Cheese!!!  She was so excited!  Of course I asked him to take some pictures for me!!

She came home and was talking a million words a minute she was so excited!!!

I picked up Madi and came home and started dinner and then headed to the garage to clean!!  I made a huge dent in the overwhelming pile in there!!!  We enjoyed dinner together and then Kenzie and Scotty played while I did my hair and Madi watched!!

Madi kept talking and smiling to herself in the mirror!!  I was also able to catch her first giggles on camera!!
