Another wonderful weekend

Saturday morning Kenzie and Bebe did a Christmas craft and made little Christmas trees.  They turned out so cute!!
We ran a few errands and then came home for naps.  Papa came and picked her up and the girls and I went to take their Christmas pictures.  It was perfect weather and they looked adorable!!!

They both did really good.  Later that night a few friends came over and we had a wreath making party!!  They all brought their kids and they played in the playroom while we crafted drank wine.
It was Andy's birthday so we all went to a late night dinner at Saltgrass.  It was way past the girls bedtime but they actually did ok (we got there at 9)

These two used to go to the same babysitter when they were younger and they are so cute together!!! We all came home and crashed.  I slept in until 11:15 this morning.  Ahhhhmazing.  We went to Scotty's company Christmas party and had a great time.   We played games, bowled, ate lunch, Makenzie got her hand painted,  and had a visit from Santa.

We had a wonderful weekend!!!  I love making these memories with my family!!!

HO HO HO

I braved going to see Santa Clause with the girls today!!  We got there at 2:30 (Santa starts at 3) and the first available ticket was for 4.....are you kidding me!!! We walked around and looked at the fish and other animals and the girls loved that!

They looked so stinking cute!!  I have been shopping everywhere and trying to get outfits together and I found everything in their closet that I already had!!!  My friend Britni was there with her kids and they had a 3:30 ticket and let us stand in line with them.  Britni's daughter Madi is in Kenzie's dance class and her baby Hunter and my Madi are the same age.  The girls played in the "snow" and Kenzie fed Madi her puffs and her cracking up.

And then it was Santa Clause time!!!  I figured Madi wasn't going to have any part of it when I handed her to him.  She surprised me and didn't cry at all.  She kept looking up at him and then back at me.  The official picture turned out pretty good!
I took a few with my camera but they were all pretty blurry.  I did get one of Madi and Santa while Kenzie was telling him what she wants for Christmas (a pink dolphin and a stroller).
That's when she lost it.  I guess she felt safe with her sissy sitting beside her because the minute Kenzie jumped down Madi screamed! Poor girl.  We went and picked up Bebe and brought her home with us to spend the night.  On the way home we stopped off and looked at a house that has amazing Christmas lights.  They have it set to a radio station and it plays along to Let it Go from Frozen.
Kenzie loved it and sang so loud.  You could hear all the little girls in all the cars singing, it was so cute!!!  We got home and played until bedtime.  After I laid Madi down we went in Kenzie's room and set up her little tree.
It is so cute and she is so proud of it.  It has real lights on it and she is using that as her night light!!!

Family Day

All the girls slept until 8 this morning.  I'm still waking up earlier of course.  I'm hoping eventually my body will let me sleep in!!  Bella's family came to get her and I headed out to run a few errands and had to run by Advocare to pick up some orders.  I came back and picked up Scotty and the girls are we went to have lunch together.  It's nice to be off during the day and actually be home when Scotty has his day off.  It's a bonus day that we all get to spend together.

Sweetest babies ever.  Kenzie has started bringing her baby everywhere we go.  She packs a diaper bag but we leave that in the car.  She has 2 babies that are the same but different color headbands and shirts.  She named them Sara and Emma.....my friend Leslie has twins name Sara and Emma.....hmmm.   We came home from lunch and all laid down for a nap.  I love midday naps especially with my family!!!  Kenzie and I headed out to dance practice.  Next week she has a little Christmas recital and I can't wait to see what she has learned.  While we were gone Scotty and Madi cooked dinner.  Delicious.  Sure does beat my regular Thursday routine of rushing home from work to get the girls and race to make it on time to dance and have to drive thru somewhere on the way home for dinner.  After dinner we went upstairs and watched the Cowboy game together until half time.  I'm loving all the time I'm getting with my family.  Not having to rush to get everything done before bed and have them in bed by a decent time is so nice!!!

Mama

She finally said mama.  I heard her saying it earlier today as she was crawling towards me.  Of course no one was around so I couldn't confirm it.  Later when Scotty was home she said it again and we knew she was for sure saying it.  So I followed her around the rest of the night trying to catch it on camera.

Playdate and slumber party

My good friend Laura was scheduled to have her baby boy today.  Unfortunately he is very sick.  His heart has many malformations and will have a long battle to fight.  Bella came to spend the day with us so she didn't have to worry about her.  The girls played hard all day.  They dressed up, had a tea party, played games, ran around wild and destroyed the house--but they had fun!

I got to see a different side of Makenzie playing with her friend all day.  She is so sweet and says the funniest things.  She is also bossy and mean.  A few times Bella would take a toy from Madison and her big sister wasn't having that.  She would come and take it back from her and tell her "don't take that from my sister".  After I stifled a laugh I explained that she needed to be nicer, but how sweet!!!  All in all it was a fun day.  I got her ready to head home and Laura called and said a procedure did not go well and Nicholas was having open heart surgery.  Bella stayed the night with us and Kenzie got to have her first sleepover.  They did great!!!  Madi and I got to hang out all day together.  She tried to keep up with the big girls all day, but she prefers to cuddle me anyways.

I was also able to put the final touches on the tree and mantle.  I love how it turned out and it looks so cozy!

I got word late that baby Nicholas pulled through surgery and is stable but the next 24-48 hours will be critical!!  Saying prayers!!

A day of crying

This sums up my night and day.  I should have known last night when she wouldn't go to sleep something was up.  She cried all night so I brought her to the doctor this morning.  Poor girls has a double ear infection.  She grabs her head on both sides and just screams.  Breaks my heart.  She was very fussy all day.  She doesn't want to drink her bottles and mostly wants to be snuggled with me. We came home and took naps.  I snuggled in Kenzie's bed with her and got an hour nap in.  Didn't fully make up for my sleepless night.  When we got up I thought I would play preschool teacher with Kenzie.  I'm going to try and do a different letter everyday and do an activity with that letter.  Today was spur of the moment but I'm hoping I can find worksheets to print.

She did really good.  I drew some pictures and labeled them and had her circle all the A's and she nailed it.  She even called out some of the other letters too.  She amazes me everyday at what she knows.  Madi took another short nap so Kenzie and I went outside to go through our Christmas decorations so we could finish the tree.
She found a Santa Clause and they were inseparable the rest of the day.  He is even sleeping with her as we speak.  I got out the ornaments and Kenzie went to town.  The bottom half of my tree looked amazing.

Madi and I supervised from the couch.  Kenzie would say every ornament was cute before putting it on the tree.  And every other one was her "faborite" one.  It was so cute to watch.
After the girls went to bed I reorganized the ornaments a bit.  I could foresee a disaster with all of them down low and a very nosy baby crawling around.

Nick was able to watch the tree trimming today too.  Kenzie found him sitting on Santa's shoulder on the fireplace.

Day 1 to stay home

My internal alarm clock went off at 5:45 this morning thinking I needed to get up and go to work.  I guess it didn't get the memo that we get to sleep in now.  The girls and I got up around 8 and started our day.  Nick had a tea party last night with Kenzie's baby and she was upset she wasn't invited.  She kept saying, "I didn't know we were having a tea party Nick.  You have to tell me".
We had breakfast, showers and made our beds.  I don't want to get lazy and stay in our jammies everyday.  Somedays we will, but I want us to get up and have a "real" day.  We went to the library and met Koko and Dallas.  They have storytime and crafts for toddlers.  They enjoyed it and then we checked out a few books to read.

We had some lunch and then went to Hobby Lobby to do some shopping.  I could go crazy there with all their Christmas decor.  The big kids went a little wild and it was hard to focus on anything but we made it.
Korie and Dallas came back over and while the kids played, Korie helped me get my tree decorated.  I absolutely LOVE it.  It is completely different than I have ever had it.  We put deco mesh down the sides and added a crazy topper.  I put deco mesh on a huge wreath that I already had and hung that up.
I'm pretty sure the kids took every toy and threw it all over the playroom.  It was crazy but they had fun.  I walked in and saw them in the toybox and they said they were in the bath.....duh!
They are a mess.  Madison is not drinking her bottles too well again.  I'm thinking it's her teeth but I'm not sure.  I gave her some solids and she went to town on those.  She had carrots squished everywhere so I threw her in the sink for her first sink bath.

She loved it and splashed around the whole time.  She is a water baby for sure.  She doesn't want to go to bed tonight.  It's 9:42 and I have been trying to get her to sleep since 8.  She just cries and cries.  I'm hoping she finally will give up and we get to go to sleep!!!
