Birthday Bingo

Tonight I took my mom out to dinner to celebrate her birthday.  My friend Tarina and her fiance, Jon, and her mom came too!  We laughed and had a great time.  Next I surprised her with BINGO.  She was so excited when we pulled up.

We had so much fun.  Apparently we had too many cards to play and everyone that walked by told us so.  We laughed so much and had a great time!!!

Mid week catch up

Sunday morning we slept in until 10:30.  Have I mentioned I have the best kids that love to sleep as much as me.  We got up and made breakfast.  We all had our things to make and Kenzie made some amazing "pampakes".  It was delicious.
After breakfast we headed upstairs for Sunday football.  Sadly the cowboys lost and Scotty was devastated.  I may or may not have witnessed himself fling himself onto the floor.  Grandma stopped by and had Christmas gifts for the girls.  They loved their babies, barbies and toys!!!
Monday we had tons of errands to run.  I strapped Kenzie's baby, Queen Elsa, in her car seat and me and my three kids were off.  We knocked out our stops and then came home for snuggles.  Kenzie was watching cartoons while Madi did her thing crawling all over her big sissy.  Kenzie doesn't even change her focus and just wraps her arms around her and holds her.  I love this more than anything.

Madi has been standing up a lot on her own lately.  She will let go and then balance herself for a couple seconds and then realizes she isn't holding on and sits down.  I've been trying to get her to walk with her walker and she is finally getting the hang of it.
I thought after all the walking she would be sleepy, but this sweet girl did not want to go to sleep.  I rescued her from her bed to come snuggle with me for a little while.  She is so sweet with her little owl and blanket.
Tuesday I went to the gym and when I came home I was still so energized (and I may have had a little prompting from my sweet husband who said "I don't care if you have to hire someone to come and clean this house but it's disgusting--and then I ushered him out the door to work) that I went into deep cleaning mode.  Kenzie and I put some music on and cleaned our bedroom and bathroom from top to bottom.  I mean clean from the baseboards up to the ceiling fan.  It looks amazing.  We had so much fun dancing to the music and that little girl has some moves.
Wednesday is my day off from the gym since Scotty goes into work earlier than I am capable of waking up to go.  Instead I got up before the girls woke up and started cleaning the kitchen, dining room and walkway into the living room.  I deep cleaned and got it all sparking.  Cleaning like that is almost as much of a workout as when I go to the gym.  Korie and Dallas came over to play and Korie and I hung up some frames on the wall.

They look amazing.  I need to put pictures in the frames and paint the ones going up the stairs.  I am so so so happy with how it all turned out.  After lunch we started working on birthday picture crafts.

We got so much accomplished today and these little nuts kept themselves busy driving us crazy and being silly!!!

No time to be bored

We had workers come to the house Friday to fix a crack in the living room ceiling.
The girls and I played all morning in the playroom while they worked so we were out of the way.  I kept Kenzie busy with puzzles and a Frozen matching game.  We colored and worked on a few letters and chased a puppy around the house that the workers let in.  They opened the door and he ran in and circled us, ran half way up the stairs and back down and into the kitchen and jumped up on my bed before one of the workers caught him and took him out.  Kenzie though that was the funniest thing ever!!
When they left, the girls and I loaded up to run some errands.  We had 5 stops to make and in between each stop Madi had ripped off her socks and shoes and I had to hunt them down and put them back on....every time!!!  I looked back one time and saw them holding hands.  Be still my
heart!
Bebe came over when we got home to spend the night and help me craft.  We made a bunch of pinwheels for Madi's birthday party and got all my ideas ironed out!!!!
This morning Makenzie had a dentist appointment.  I have been talking this up for weeks.  She did AMAZING.   She laid there and opened up and let Dr. Julie (the best dentist ever) do everything she needed to do.  No cavities but she does need to stop sucking her thumb to prevent problems down the
road.

I promised Kenzie she could make an Elsa build a bear if she did good.  She definitely earned it.
We ran a bunch of errands afterwards and then met Papa, Austin and the boys for lunch.  We had such a great time and laughed so much!!A few more errands on the way home and then Bebe packed up and headed home! Scotty came home and took us out to eat.  The girls were so exhausted but did good.  We are calling it an early night so we can be well rested for the Cowboys game tomorrow!!!

Booorrring

Today was so boring.  Literally we did nothing all day.  Makenzie told me today that she wanted to go to school.  It hurt my feelings.  I said "you don't want to stay with mommy anymore" and she said "I want to go to school a biddle bit and stay with woo a biddle bit".  She must have been really bored today too. When we got up for the morning she automatically ran to the ipad and I hate her spending all her time doing that.  When Madi took a nap I took her in the playroom and we played a million games of memory and then when all else fails I bust out the playdoh.  That keeps her entertained more than anything.   When I was little I was obsessed with these beads.  I would make designs all day.  I got Makenzie one and she loved it.  My OCD kicked in and I was rearranging beads every time she turned her head.
When Madi got up I fixed her some noodles for lunch.  She was more into the spoon and did a really good job scooping and putting the spoon to her mouth.  She never got a noodle on it but at least she knows the motions.
Let me back up to yesterday morning.  When Madi got up I brought her into my room and fed her a bottle and she rolled over and put her little arm around my neck and went back to sleep.  Melted my heart.  My alarm was about to go off to go to the gym but I didn't want this moment to leave so I turned it off and savored every second of it.
And last night while I was loading the dishwasher, I looked down and saw Madi hiking her leg and climbing to get up and sit on the dishwasher.  This girl keeps me on my toes for sure.
Tonight we went and picked up dinner.  It was the first time that we left the house all day.  I heard the wind howling all day but had no idea how cold it was.  Of course I had to get gas in the 29 degrees.  When we came home it was back to laying on the couch watching cartoons.  I vow to make our days more entertaining.  I have to get back on the alphabet learning and doing some crafts.  But.....not tomorrow.  Scotty is off tomorrow and I'm going to the gym then to get a pedicure, alone, and then going shopping, alone,

Madison is 11 months

I say this every month, but how the heck is Madison already 11 months??  She needs to slow down!!  This month has been fast and furious and full of new stuff and memories.
She is a petite thing but is chunking up nicely.  She is still wearing 9m clothes but I have started putting her in some 12m stuff.  Brands that run 9-12m fits her the best.  When she wears shoes, she is in a size 3.  I still have her in a size 3 diaper and I think we will be hanging out in those for awhile.
This sweet girl cut her 8th tooth (maybe her 7th too....I can't remember) this month.  She has the most teeth of any 11 month old I know.  Every time she cuts a tooth she gets a little cranky and fussy, quits drinking her bottles and wakes up a lot at night.  I feel like she is ALWAYS teething.  When one is in and done, a new one starts.
Madison is the best cuddler.  She always wants to be held or lay beside you.  The other morning when she woke up and I brought her to my bed, she rolled over towards me and put her little arm around my neck and went back to sleep.  The morning snuggles are the best.  She mostly loves to cuddle her sister.  She will crawl all over her and lay her head down on her chest or on her head.  It is so sweet.
Our days are hardly ever the same, but for the most part we have a little routine.  She wakes up about 8'ish, sometimes 9 and will drink a 7 ounce bottle.  We lay in bed and cuddle until sister wakes up and then the cartoons come on.  She will have some breakfast, AKA cheerios or some cereal with fruit, and then we go into the playroom and play for a little while.  She will lay down for a morning nap around 10:30/11.  She sleeps normally for about an hour and then gets up and drinks another 6-7 ounce bottle.  We have lunch around 12:30 which normally consist of some kind of table foods.  I will make her some vegetable noodles or cut up some fruit.  More playtime and then a bottle around 3:30'ish and then she lays down for another little nap.  She will have dinner around 5:30 and then a bottle around 7 and in bed by 8.  Whether we are out running errands or at home playing she pretty much stays on this schedule.
This little stinker is becoming a climber.  She has mastered crawling up the stairs and likes to try and sneak up them when she can.  She climbs up on the dishwasher while I'm loading the dishes.  When she is standing up against anything, she will lift her leg and try to climb up it.  Makenzie never climbed....we used to joke about how she never climbed and when she did she wasn't very good at it.  Everything still goes in her mouth..  Tonight she ate one of Makenzie's play dollar bills.  Makenzie gets so mad when she puts her toys in her mouth. She is always babbling and talking.  Mama, dada, hi, bye and baba are all things we know for sure that she says.  I'm pretty sure she has said Kenzie and baby before but nothing consistently.  Madison has mastered the stink eye.  When she gets told no, she will mean mug you and wrinkle up her forehead and give the look.
I almost caught a look when I told her no when she was trying to get off the chair.  This is the end of one. LOL  I think the look is my fault.  When she makes the face my face automatically mimics it which I think eggs her on.  Oops, I can't help it.  Other than the mean mug looks she is the sweetest baby.  She is so attached to me and if I'm around she only wants me.  This is a beating at times but I secretly love it.  It's an amazing feeling to know you're baby loves you more than anything.  I am amazed everyday by her and am so blessed to be her mommy.

Ohhhh Monday....

Let me back up to Saturday first!!  Leslie and her girls came over to visit and play.  The girls had so much fun playing and it was so nice to catch up with Leslie.  We went to lunch and that was our first time out of the house in 3 days!!!  We were crazy!  That night Kenzie spent the night with Bebe and Papa.  Madi was going to stay too but she hasn't been sleeping so well at night and I didn't want her to keep them up so I brought her home with me.  I suckered Scotty into meeting us at Hobby Lobby and then we went to dinner.

Sunday morning Madi and I went to pick up Kenzie.  We stopped at the store and got a bunch of stuff for Madi's party! I've got to get going on that!! We came back home and watched football!!!  Cowboys won, thank god.  It was the first round of the playoffs and Scotty was a nervous wreck!!!

This morning I went to the gym!!!  I was very proud of myself and felt so good all day!! The plan is to go in the morning when Scotty works late or go in the evening when he goes in early!!  The girls and I went to run a few errands only to find my debit card was nowhere to be found!! That is the worst feeling ever.  I called the last place I had been and they didn't have it.  After searching my car, the house, my clothes...EVERYWHERE,  I called and cancled my card.  While I was searching I heard Madi start crying.  The hurt kind of crying!!  I ran in there to find Madi sitting on the bottom stair with a bloody mouth.  My heart sank.  Kenzie said her hand slipped off the carpeted step and she fell on her face on the hardwood step.  I think she just bit her lip, her teeth looked ok but she wouldn't let me get a good look.  Her poor little lip is very swollen now!  The girls and I loaded back up and headed to the bank to get a new card.  We got home and spent the rest of the evening playing and hanging out.  Bebe and Papa came by to visit and Papa fixed Makenzie's motorcycle and she rode it around the house for the rest of the night!!!

Welcome 2015

It is going to take me awhile to get used to writing 2015 instead of 2014 on everything.  I still can't believe it is a new year already.  Yesterday, Kenzie helped me take down the Christmas tree and the rest of the decorations I had up.  When we finished we spent the rest of New Years day at my parents house.  Scotty had to work so the girls and I loaded up and headed over.  We had a yummy lunch and ate our greens and black eyed peas.  I'm looking for some good luck and money this year!!!  After lunch Bebe, the girls and I laid down in her bed for awhile.  We all ended up falling asleep.  Madi was so tired she fell asleep sitting up against me.

These girls love each other so much.  Madi crawls all over her big sissy.  She will crawl up on her and then lay her head down on her head or her shoulder.  It is so sweet.
Kenzie wants Madi to do everything she does.  I let her do most things that she comes up with.  Madi loved riding Kenzie's car with her.
I can't get enough of these smiles.  We headed home to hang out with daddy when he got off work.  Kenzie fell out of her chair while eating dinner.  Not just a little fall.  A fall out of chair, hit face on the corner of the table and slid down the leg, and then banged head on the floor when she landed.  It was awful.  I checked her mouth and saw blood on her teeth and though she chipped or lost a few but she had bit her tongue and that's where the blood was coming from.  Then.....while I was feeding Madi in the living room, she plopped down in my lap and the spoon hit her mouth with some food on it.  She got up and ran in the kitchen to wipe it off and get a drink.  We heard her gag one time and then she came in the living room and said "that was yucky" and then threw up on the rug.  All I could do was laugh.  Then.....while we were brushing her teeth before bed, she slipped off her step stool and hit her chin on the counter which made her bite the other side of her tongue.  Sister had a rough night.

Today was BOOOORRRRRIIIIINNNNGGGGG.  It is cold and rainy and we were stuck inside all day.  I woke up grumpy which didn't help and I felt like a snapped all day at the kids.  I hate that.  Kenzie was grumpy and mean to Madi all day.  She would rip anything that Madi was holding right out of her hands.  She played with her baby toys all day and then would get so mad if Madi touched her toys.  I put Madi's hair in her first little pony tail after her bath.
It was so cute!!!  Tonight before bed Madi crawled up in Makenzie's lap and sat with her for the longest time watching cartoons with her.  Every time I snapped a picture the flash would make her look over at me.  She loves her big sister so much, and I'm pretty sure Kenzie loves her just as much.
I'm vowing now to wake up in a better mood tomorrow and love on my babies extra to make up for today!!!
