Cheer Competition

Saturday morning we were up super early for Kenzie's cheer competition. Kenzie was very excited when she saw the table decorated for her.

 We had to be there at 8 and they weren't due to perform until around 11.  It was pretty chilly and the girls all wrapped up in blankets while us coaches did their make up.

The girls did so good and won 2nd place.  We were one point away from 1st place and 20 points ahead of 3rd place.  They did so good and I was so proud.  I have a video of their performance but I can't get it off my camera.  I'll have to post it later.  After the competition the girls had a little break to get some lunch, snack bar lunch, and then they had to cheer for the Superbowl.  Our football team hadn't lost a game all year.  Sadly they did lost the Superbowl but we are so proud of their amazing season.  At halftime us parents surprised our girls and did their routine instead of them.

I'm in the front on the far left.  I had so much fun reliving my old cheerleader days.  I miss it.  The girls all thought it was hilarious.  Kenzie said I did so good and was proud of me.  That flip flop had me seeing stars afterwards and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be so sore tomorrow from those toe touches.  We finally left the football field after 6 hours and headed home.  My poor mom was a trooper.  She sat in the stands by herself for that long.  Madison stayed home with a sitter and was super excited to see us when we got home.  I was exhausted.  I fed the girls some dinner and threw them in the bath and by 7:30 both girls were in bed and I wasn't too far behind them.

The final days of cheer

Thursday while I was at the gym, Kenzie's teacher sent me a picture of her.

She LOVES coloring, painting and drawing!  Anything artistic!  I love seeing all her creations that she brings home!  Madi and I hung out at the house while she was at school and then skipped our naps to run some errands!  I had a babysitter come over to watch Madi that night while we went to cheer practice!  I told her I was sure she would go to bed pretty soon because she was already getting cranky and looking tired!  Nope, she was wide awake when we got back!  Sarah said she was super grouchy and kept saying no when she asked her about going to bed, and she wouldn't take her pants off to put her pajamas on so she had to put them on over her pants!  She is a mess!  Kenzie had her last cheer practice!  The girls practiced for a little bit and then we had a little party!  All the parents brought food and drinks and we gave the girls their gifts.

Not the best picture but she wouldn't sit still!  We made them all cheer buckets!  They turned out super cute!  They all got hyped up on sweets and then us parents practiced the routine!  We are performing at halftime this weekend instead of the girls!

Today I decided to let my muscles recover and we slept in!  My booty is on fire from my "butts and guts" class I did yesterday!  We ran a few errands and the girls were angels so I let them pick out a toy!  Kenzie has been begging for shopkins so they picked those!  I don't get these at all!  They are tiny little "figures", like food and clothes!  Kenzie says you play with them when I ask her what they do!  Whatever--she was so happy to open them up!

We came home and had lunch and then snuggled up to watch a movie together!

Kenzie has been working so hard on her cartwheel and she finally has it pretty much perfected!  She must have done about 100 today!!

Bebe came over and daddy brought home dinner for us!  Kenzie has her cheer competition tomorrow so we had to roll her hair in sponge rollers to get ready!

Madison decided she needed some too!

I got Kenzie a little good luck basket and decorated the table a little for her!  I hope she is suprised and excited in the morning!  It is going to be a busy day!

A little catch up

This morning I had an early class at the gym!  I snuck out before anyone woke up!!  After the class I walked/jogged on the treadmill for a bit!  I started watching The Walking Dead series but I only get to watch it when I'm on the treadmill!  Needless to say, I got some good cardio in today!  I'm going to back up to Monday.  When I got home from the gym (Monday morning) the girls and I played games and dress up until "nastics".  Kenzie LOVES playing games!  She doesn't fully understand how to play which makes it very frustrating to play with her (but I did it 😁).  

Kenzie was my DJ while we waited for her class!  We rolled the windows down and danced!!!  After class we raced home to meet Bebe and eat dinner!  Madi stayed with Bebe and Kenzie and I headed out!  It was freezing!  When we got home they got a warm bubble bath and then we cuddled before bed!

Tuesday we dropped Kenzie off at school and Madi and I ran some errands!  I had to pick up a new nebulizer for Makenzie at a pharmacy a ways away so it was fun to shop at "new" stores!  We picked up Kenzie and headed home to play!  Scotty came home early and Kenzie and I left for cheer practice!  We only have one more practice and then competition and we are done!  I'm so ready!  Not that I don't love cheerleading, I'm just ready to have my nights back!!  That brings me back to today!  Scotty was off and we hung around the house playing and cleaning!  I couldn't wait to see what my new Santa looked like out of the box and the girls loved him!

That isn't where he is going, and Scotty made me put him up until after Thanksgiving!  I'm sure he is expecting to come home from work one day with the house decorated for Christmas.....it may happen, I'm just saying!!  We loaded up and ran a few errands and then grabbed some dinner and called it a day!!

Not a big change from last month!  The scale is staying steady and my measurements haven't changed too much!  Adding muscle can make my measurements increase, and the scale, but it looks better than fat and obviously is more healthy!  I know I didn't do my best on my eating this month and I can, WILL, do better!  I have come a long ways and am proud of myself!  

Weekend wrap up

Friday we went over to Laura's house so she could do my hair!  The girls played and had a great time!!  I went darker this time!!

Later my mom came over and we went to dinner and ran a few errands before going home to play!!

Saturday we were up bright and early to cheer at the football game!  It was freezing and raining and miserable!!  The girls did good considering!!

After the game, we came home to change and then spent the rest of the day shopping with Bebe!   Madi ended up falling asleep on my moms shoulder in Kohls.  Poor girl shopped til she dropped!!  Scotty brought home a late dinner for us and we ended the night snuggling watching a movie!  This morning I was up and to the gym early!  I was the only one in the whole gym!  I got in a great workout and left very proud of myself!!  Kenzie and I had a baby shower to go to for Emily!  It was such a cute shower!

Scotty grilled out hamburgers for dinner and we relaxed watching football!  Fingers are crossed that the cowboys win tonight!!!!

Week catch up

Well another week has gone by with no blogging!!!  I've been busy, but not really (if that even makes sense).  And when I get into bed I am so exhausted that I just want to go to bed!!  Monday I went to the gym and did a class for the first time in a week!  It whooped me but I felt great afterwards!! Kenzie had gymnastics later on and hacked and coughed the whole way through it!  Mom came over to watch Madi while Kenzie and I went to cheer practice!  I got a nebulizer from a friend on the way home and a few vials to give her some treatments!  

Madi laid like that and watched her sister the whole time!  The treatments really opened her up and she slept the best she had in days!  (So good in fact she had a little accident in her bed and had to sleep with us) Tuesday we dropped her off at school and Madi and I ran a few errands before going home to hang out!  After school we played until cheer practice!  It's pitch black when we get there and feels so late even just at 6:30.  Scotty was off Wednesday and stayed with the girls while I went to the gym!  I was so sore from the class on Monday that I barely made it through it!  I got a much needed pedicure on the way home and then spent the day at home doing some chores!!  Scotty had to run out and help his mom for a bit and I decided to put up the Halloween stuff and get down my Christmas stuff!  I only got down about half because my legs would not go up and down the ladder anymore!  (There are about 8 more totes not pictured and each tote was a trip up the later and a few bags that were trips too)

Scotty took us out for dinner and then we watched a Christmas movie before bed!  I am so ready for Christmas!!  This morning I went to the gym and worked the heck out of my arms and then jumped in on the last 30 minutes of a class and did abs (which are on fire as we speak).  I ended my workout with a 45 minute treadmill session and came home to Madi!  Scotty had taken Kenzie to school and we had plans for Jessica and her kiddos to come by and visit!

Madison is obsessed with babies and wouldn't leave his side the whole time he was here!  We visited until it was time to get Kenzie from school!  Jessica started her car and put the baby in and went around to put Harper in and the doors were locked!  Automatically locked with her baby in the car with her purse and keys and phone.  We tried and tried and I got my firefighter neighbor to come by and help and eventually had to call the police to come help!  He was able to get it opened finally and poor Degan was rescued!  (He was perfectly fine but overly tired and crying).  I felt so bad for Jessica!  We had cheer practice at a daycare tonight because we had bad weather come through!  Those kids couldn't focus at all with all the bins of toys and posters everywhere!! I had to bring Madison tonight and she loved it!!  She ran around and played with everything!!  We came home and snuggled and called it a night!!

Happy Halloween

I had the cutest flamingo and Princess Jasmine this year!!  Madison loved her costume and actually kept her hat on the whole night!  This is the first year Kenzie picked out her own costume!  Her wig kept falling off so halfway through the night she became a blonde Jasmine.

After they got dressed we met up with some neighbors and went trick or treating!  

They had so much fun running from house to house!  Madi couldn't keep up with the big kids but her buddy Graham walked with her!  After about an hour and a half we went back home to pass out candy!  Kenzie may have had more fun doing that!  We had a huge pumpkin full of candy and leftover prizes from her class party!  She would dig around and handpick kids their goodies!  It took forever but she was so proud of herself!

I can't believe how big my babies are getting!!  Love them so much!!
