Landon is 5 months

My sweet boy is 5 months old!  I can't believe it!  He is the absolute sweetest baby boy ever!  There is always a smile on his face (other than these pictures I tried to take of him) and he's normally giggling at something.

He weighs 17 pounds 5 ounces  and is wearing 6m or 6-9m clothes!  He is pretty long for his age and footie pajamas are too short for him.  Size 2 diapers still fit but as soon as I use what I have I will be moving him up.  I haven't really put shoes on him so I'm not sure what size he would be.

This boy loves to eat!  He normally has 5-6 bottles a day with 5-6 ounces in each one!  He will have oatmeal with a fruit mixed in at breakfast and a vegetable at dinner and cereal with his nighttime bottle.  We have also given him some avocado, pop sickle, ice cream and a frozen waffle.  He always squeals and opens his mouth for a bite anytime someone is eating near him.

He is still sleeping amazing.  I normally put him in his crib for bed around 8:00 and he sleeps all night until around 9 the next morning!  Every so often he will wake up during the night and I will go in and fix his blanket and give him his paci and he is back asleep!  Normally he will take a short 30 minute nap around 11 and then a longer 1-1.5 hour nap around 2 and sometimes another 30 minute nap around 5'ish.  He likes to lay on his right side snuggled up to his blanket with part of it over his face a little!  And of course with his paci.

He has hit some milestones this month!  His bottom right tooth has come through and I'm pretty sure the one next to it is about to anyday now.  He has mastered sitting up and prefers to do this instead of laying down.  I still put pillows behind him just in case he falls but he is doing really well.  He can now find his paci and put it back in his moth by himself which comes in handy at night or when he is playing!  He had his first real bath in the sink now that he can sit up.  He LOVED it. 

 

Back to reality and Kenzie loses a tooth

Saturday morning we started our LONG trip back home!  The kids and I napped off and on but poor Scotty had to drive the whole time.

We got home late and pretty much unpacked a little and went to bed!  The next morning Bebe came over to visit!  We ran to the store to restock the pantry/fridge and get a bigger tank for the hermit crabs.

When we got back home Bebe pulled Makenzie's tooth.  Kenzie didn't even realize it was out until she saw it in the rag.

She was so excited and can't stop smiling and touching it!  We spent the rest of the day lounging around and getting our house back in order.

Landon is so close to sitting up but still has no desire to roll over or do tummy time.  That night we got ready for the tooth fairy to come!  She had her tooth fairy doll and put her tooth in the dress pocket and sat her on her pillow!

The next morning she woke up to 10 sparkly dollars.

She was dying to go to the store and buy something with her money.  We ran to target and did a few errands before coming home to clean and play.  Kenzie spent the night with a friend and Madi and I spent the night on the floor with Landon doing tummy time and trying to get him to roll over!  It was a failure---oh well at least he's cute!

Vacation day 6 and 7

Amber and I took the kids to the beach to play for a little while.  Scotty stayed upstairs with Landon and Jacob had some work to do!

We went to the pool for awhile too! That afternoon we planned to go to The Track.  It's a little amusement park there!

Amber stayed with Landon while Scotty and I took the girls to ride go karts!  (Jacob and Reid were riding too)

Madison had so much fun!  Scotty and Kenzie rode the bumper cars next.  

They have a big multi level go kart track that we were all excited to ride!  Poor Madi wasn't tall enough to go on by literally just a tiny bit.  She was so sad and cried and cried!  I took her to ride a ferris wheel while they rode the go karts.

After all the rides we went inside to play at the arcade for awhile.

This little turkey is cutting a tooth.

We headed home and had pulled pork sandwiches Amber and Jacob made.   Landon and Reid had matching Jammie's on and looked so dang cute.

(They are from the same set, just wore different ones on different nights). After the kids went to bed the adults played games and stayed up way too late. The next morning Scotty took the girls down to the pool to swim!  Landon and I stayed upstairs to clean up and get some things packed.  When they came back up we went out for lunch.  We took the girls to a souvenir shop to pick out something  out to take home!  I didn't get any pictures all day!  Before dinner we took all the kids to pick out hermit crabs!  Somehow we ended up with 4 to bring home!  We went down to the beach and took some family pictures after dinner.

Vacation day 5

Today was my favorite day of our vacation!  We drove to Panama City and rented a boat for the day!  Once we got everyone loaded up we headed out to shell island.

Poor bubba!  His life jacket was ridiculous and he fell asleep immediately when we set sail.

We parked the boat on the shore and got out and swam around the boat.  The kids tried and tried to catch fish in their nets!  We did catch lots of hermit crabs and even found a starfish!  We went to another location and did some fishing.

Amber had a really cool snorkel mask that I loved!  I spent so much time floating on my stomach looking around underwater.  We found lots of cool shells and creatures on the bottom of the sandbar.

On the way back to the dock Kenzie fell asleep sitting up!  Madison fell asleep in my lap and bubba went to sleep in Scottys arms! (After the pic was taken)

We drove back to Destin and stopped to eat at the most amazing restaurant.  Landon wasn't interested and fell asleep.

After showers we headed down to hunt some crabs.
