The Gentle Zoo

This morning we met Britney and her kids Hunter and Madi at the Gentle Zoo!  They had a pumpkin patch and animals to pet and feed and some play areas!!  I wish the weather was cooler but instead we were in tank tops and flip flops! Boo!

Tha llama took her spoon she was feeding him out of and she was so mad!!!  Kenzie was fearless and LOVED all the animals!  Madison was fine as long as j was holding her, story of my life!!  After we had had all the heat and fun we could have we went to Chick fil a for lunch!!  The kids were wild and crazy!  It was a great play date!!!

Monthly measurements

Today I had my monthly measures taken before I worked out!!  I was pleased with my numbers!  I really though I would see an increase with vacation and not really doing good on my food choices lately!!
I'm still hanging on right at 151 pounds.   It is frustrating not seeing the scale move but I have to keep reminding myself my fat is converting to muscle!  My measurements show a loss and my clothes fit bigger so I know something is working!

Potty time

Madison has been ready to potty train for awhile!  I have been lazy about it and finally decided today was the day!  She went 10 times on the potty!!!  I was so surprised and proud of her!
She would get so excited and dance around and run in the kitchen for a treat!  I took her about every 20 minutes and would have her sit and sometimes she went and sometimes she didn't!  From nap time until at least 6 when I left, her diaper stayed dry and mom said she went 2 more times in the potty after we left!!
Kenzie was such a good big sister and would come in and keep her company and cheer her on!  I think she had alterior motives though because she wanted a treat too if Madi went!!  I'm not going to put any pressure on her or get discouraged!  She is only 20 months, but if she is open and ready for it we are going to try!!

A good start to the week

Sunday I took Kenzie to a birthday party for our sweet friend Sophia!!  We had a great time running around and jumping!!
I spent the rest of cleaning and getting things ready for the week!  The Cowboys played that night so we all piled upstairs with pop corn and watched it with daddy!

It was a really boring game and I ended up going to bed!!  Monday I was up bright and early and off to the gym!  Kenzie had gymnastics and was offered a spot in the advanced class!  Her teacher says she sees potential in her to join the junior team!  It means more classes during the week and of course more money!  We are going to talk with Kenzie and see what she thinks!  (I'm so excited I can barely stand it though). Afterwards we picked up a sign I had made and took it home and put it on the porch!!  LOVE it!

I finished up some pinwheels I made for Halloween to hang up!  I still have a few more things to do but I think it's cute!!
Later on we went to a play date at Stacys's house to play with Summer and Sienna!  It was such a fun afternoon and we all had a great time!
After dinner I took the girls for a walk to the park to play!  It felt amazing!  I'm so excited for these cooler temps!!!

Kenzie did really good practicing swinging herself!  I'll be so happy when she figures it out!!!  Madison finally discovered she could climb up and slide down herself and did that over and over!  We had fun!!  Today Madi and I dropped off Kenzie at school and then went to the gym for a bit!  Today's class was probably the hardest one I've done yet!  It was intense!  We ran a few errands afterwards and then Madi lost it!  I had pushed her lunch and nap too far and she was over it!!  I took her home and shoved lunch down her and laid her down!  Whew!
Kenzie was so excited when we picked her up!  They got to walk across the street to the library for a "field trip" AND they earned a pajama party on Thursday!!    It was so cute seeing her so excited!  I love hearing about her day and all the funny things she says!!!  I found a book order in her folder and about peed my pants!!
This was my all time favorite thing in school!  I would circle all the books that I wanted and would beg my mom to order some!  I'm so excited to sit down with her and let her pick a few!!!!

Before and now

Last weekend while I was trapped in the car on our 5 hour drive home with nothing to do while my husband listened to the football game on the radio, <eye roll>, I put together a few before and now pictures!  It was a big eye opener at where I was and how far I have come!

These are from our first cruise in September of 2012 versus this cruise!

These pictures are from last September (2014) versus this September!

This picture was from Halloween last year versus on this cruise!

What's sad is in some of those, at the time, I thought I looked "good".  Looking back now I had no idea what "good" was.   I wasn't even halfway healthy and I have learned so much since then and am continuing to learn and improve!

Cooler temps finally

Thursday morning Scotty took Makenzie to school and Madi and I got to sleep in.  I started feeling a little bit better but still not 100%.  I cleaned house for awhile and then Madi and I got to crafting.

After being covered in glitter from head to toe I think it turned out cute!!!  We almost walked out of the house still in our jammies to go pick sister up, but I caught it and we finally got dressed for the day.  I decided to keep us home from cheer practice because Kenzie came home not feeling home very good.   The weather was AMAZING so we did go out to play for a little bit after dinner.

Playing outside mostly consists of, "mommy watch this" or "wanna see me do this trick", or "are you watching", or my favorite "I don't see your eyes watching me mommy".  She is really into practicing her toe touches and I think she is doing great.  Friday I put on my first crock pot dinner of the fall season.  I love having dinner started in the morning and know I don't have to do anything later. We built blanket forts in the living room and they brought all their babies in there and we watched cartoons and ate snacks in there.

We had doctor appointments to get our flu shots but I went ahead and had Kenzie seen since she just hadn't been herself lately.  She has strep.  I knew it!!  I told Scotty the night before that I bet she had strep based off of how she was acting.  I always know her "strep-attitude".  She went ahead and treated Madison too since her throat looked red and that is probably why she threw up in the car and she hasn't been eating all week.  She didn't do the test on her because this was the first visit that Madison willingly opened her mouth for her to look at and didn't cry not one time during her exam.  She didn't even cry for her flu shot.  Maybe we are passing this stage finally.  (she did lose 2 pounds since her 18m check up...WTH)  When Bebe got off work she came over to spend the night so we could go garage sale'ing the next morning.  We were waiting on her outside and the girls were picking flowers to give to her.  We went outside to play for a bit and enjoyed the cooler weather!!  Bebe snuck under the trampoline and the girls couldn't find her.  It was so funny watching their faces when she would push up the trampoline under them.

This morning we snuck out of the house before the girls woke up and went garage sale'ing.  I haven't been to a garage sale without the kids in forever.  It was so fun.  We got some really good stuff but my big score was a full size (12x12) Cricut machine for $20......I am so excited.  I have been using mine a lot lately and have been getting frustrated not being able to make things as big as I want/need and now I can!!!  We picked the girls up so Scotty could go to work and did a Target run and stopped for lunch on the way home.  Bebe headed home and we all snuggled up and took a nap together!!  I'm not going to lie, naps are probably my favorite part of staying home now!!  Just kidding--kind of!  I took the girls outside to play for a bit.  It felt fantastic outside today!!!
Tomorrow I am going back to the gym and getting back into my routine.  Vacation is over and I am feeling better.
