Weekend recap

Another weekend has passed again so quickly!!!  Saturday me and the little one went garage sale shopping!!!  I had been wanting to go so I figured I would chance taking Kenzie with me alone! She did pretty good for about an hour and a half!
I got her a fisher price high chair for her babies, a shopping cart, and a table with 4 chairs! Not a huge haul like I wanted but cute stuff!!! We came home and cleaned out the garage! I needed to sort the garage sale stuff from the storage stuff!
This was before, and I had already cleaned ALOT before I thought to take a picture!
We have so much more room now got my piles sorted!!!  It may not look organized, but it is!!! My little helper kept getting out all the toys and playing, but we still got it done!
We went to Cason's 4th birthday party after her nap! Kenzie had a blast and ran around like crazy! Her old babysitter was there--which she loved!  I can't ever peel her off of her when we see her!! And she loves playing with Brynlee!
That night we had a date night planned! Things didn't turn out as planned and we didn't have anyone to watch Kenzie so we stayed home and Scotty brought home dinner and we watched a Dateline we had recorded! Hot date!!!
Sunday we woke up early and Mimi and Papa came over to visit and then we went to brunch! They wanted Makenzie to come over and play so she rode home with them! Scotty and I drove around looking at houses and then went down to Kories to hang out with everyone! I met my parents later to pick up Makenzie and took her back over to play with Dallas! John made a delicious breakfast for dinner! I love when we all get to hang out and spend time as a "family"! We are so lucky to have the Poes and the Smiths in our lives!!!
Kenzie loves baby Presley! She kept rubbing her head and giving her kisses! She even got to feed her cereal at dinner time!!!  She's going to be such a great big sister one day!!

Friday funday

I picked up Makenzie and surprised her with a snow cone!!!  Ok--I cheated a little and got her a plain snow cone! It was her first one and I wasn't about to have that all over my car! Regardless--she loved it!
When we got home she helped me finish mine--she definitely liked mine better!! LOL

We decided to go visit Mimi and papa!! She had a blast of course! I got a cute video of her saying everyone's name--most Mimi/pipi!!  It's really funny! Makes my mom so mad!!!  I love it!  That girl runs around their house likes she owns it!!
She ran and got one of Papa's shoes and walked around in it! She thought she was hot stuff!!!  It was not fun trying to get her to leave to come home--she wanted to stay so bad!!!

She stayed up extra late tonight so I'm hoping she will sleep late so we can make it through 2 birthday parties--with no nap!!!  Wish us luck!

Shadows

We made plans to have Koko and Dallas come over for dinner, so we played outside and waited on them.  We ended up coming inside before they got here, but Makenzie discovered her shadow before we went inside.   She was playing with the flowers and the next thing I notice she was waving at herself on the ground.  I told her it was her shadow and told her to walk and it would follow her.  She thought it was so funny and ran all over the driveway watching her shadow the whole time.  Ahh to be young again and easily amused by our shadows!!!

We ate dinner standing at my counters with the crazy kids on top of the counters.  They are a mess!!!  They played really well together.  Lots of hugs and sharing--I was impressed.  Korie is the funniest friend I have.  She keeps me laughing non stop--over silly things too.  She is crazy and Kenzie just loves her.   We had a great time.  They left and it was bedtime.  My crazy girl was not ready!  She was wrestling me, and running around like a crazy person.  We face timed Mimi to tell her happy anniversary.  Her and my dad have been together 31 years.  They are such an inspiration to me and my marriage.  True lasting love does exist!!

She woke up a few times last night, so I'm exhausted this morning!!  (I always let her cry for a little while, normally she will go back to sleep, but when it becomes excessive I will go in there).  We left extra early since we were both awake and ready!!  She peepee'd on the potty this morning and was good while getting ready!!

TGIF--so ready for the weekend.  We have a super busy weekend planned.  2 birthday parties, a date night with my hubby, cleaning out storage and garage, and showing our house to potential buyer!!!
Yesterday her hair was OUT OF CONTROL.  I decided to try a pony tail.....

It lasted all day and was ADORABLE.  The back is still a little too short, but I used a little clippy to keep it up!!!  Love her!!!

House hunting

Today after work, Scotty and I met our realtor to look at some houses!  We looked at 6 and crossed 3 of them off our list! They are all in the same neighborhood that we are in now!  I was hoping to walk in to a house and have that "moment" where it just felt like home! It didn't happen, but we still have more to look at! We are also going to look into doing a new build like we did on this house.  We don't want to get our hopes up, but it looks like hopefully we have a solid deal for our house!   I know we will find the perfect house and everything will work out!!! We picked up Makenzie and came home to play and eat Popsicles outside!!  Love spending time with my little family!!!

We have gotten into a pretty good morning routine! I wake up and get ready and then get Makenzie up an let her wake up in our bed! She sits on the potty and we hope to get some tinkle! Then I change her and she uses her step stool to brush her teeth and I fix her hair while she is "brushing".
She looks so big to me in these pictures!!!   I wish she would slow down!!

The culprit....

Hand, foot and freaking mouth.  Again.  That totally explains the high fever and no other symptoms.  She has had a few tiny red dots around her mouth, but today when I picked her up from school she had more and they were brighter. AHHH.  (just a little back history---last year, December 10, 2011 to be exact, my little 4 1/2 month old baby got a few "blisters" around her mouth.  The next day, I'm down for the count with 104 fever, so many blisters on my hands I couldn't even bend my fingers, and my feet covered so much that I couldn't even walk--thank god I didn't get any on my face.  I couldn't even hold my baby for a week.  It was awful.  I have a few scars on my hands and all my fingernails peeled off as they were healing)

This is us last year.  Check out my hands--disgusting.  I am praying, and keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get it again.  It was seriously the worst illness that I have ever had.  (adults aren't "supposed" to get it--yeah right)

This crazy girl thought it was the funniest thing me trying to get a picture of her mouth!!!  She would not hold still.  I had to pin her down with my legs and use my feet to hold her head!!  See all the dots??  Yuck!!  She hasn't had any fever since Friday afternoon, so she's not contagious anymore.

Enough of that!!!  When I picked up Makenzie from school today, she came running up to me saying "booboo" and pointing at her knee.  She had fallen down while playing outside and skinned her little knee.  I had to sign an "ouch-incident report"--serious stuff.

It says it happened at 9 this morning, so for her to remember enough to want to tell me at 4 when I picked her up......she must have milked that all day!! LOL drama queen!!! After dinner we went outside and ate a pop sickle while we waited for daddy to get home!

She's so funny!!  She had us laughing all night.  Her favorite thing to do is waller all over us on the floor.  She just climbs and rolls all over the place.  She also will pat and rub our backs when we lay on the floor, even pull our shirts down when they wad up from the rubbing.  If we lift our heads up she will put her hand on the back of our heads and push it back down.....makes me giggle everytime.  I think her teachers must do this at nap time to keep them laying down.  She also has been jumping.  She will squat down, freeze, and then jump up.  It's so cute.  She will prance back and forth across the living room.  Her little left arm swings back and forth.....I call it her "super wing".....makes her go fast when she's running.  She's a ham for sure!!!
I'm pretty sure she is a genius.  She already knows all her shapes, even funky ones like diamond, hexagon, and crescent.  She can say star, circle, and moon---but will point to any shape that you name.  She knows all of her colors.  She will say pink, black, blue, yellow, and purple---but will point to all of them.  She is so smart and is picking up new things everyday!!!

We have another offer on our house and we feel more confident this time about selling this house and moving on....wish us luck!!!

Fevers, birthday and shopping!!!

My sweet Kenzie girl is finally feeling better!
Thursday night she still ran a high fever so I called her dr and she recommended bringing her back in to the office Friday morning to recheck her if she woke up with fever! Well, she had 102 Friday morning so back to the doctor we went!

We needed to check her urine and make sure she didn't have a UTI since she had fever with no other symptoms! I couldn't bear the thought of doing a catheter, so instead we did a "bag urine" (a little bag that sticks on her and you keep your fingers crossed her tinkle goes in the bag) it worked and we were able to check her urine! She had a tiny bit of bacteria but since it was a bag urine it isn't the most sterile to begin with! We'll have the results from her culture on Monday! We went home to wait out the fever!!!
That afternoon we ran a few errands with Korie and Dallas(poor little guy is sick too)! Wowsers!!!  Those kids are crazy!
She loves her Dallas!!! I set Kenzie up with an Icee and popcorn and she did pretty good while we were at Target!
I had dropped my car off to get cleaned before target, so we picked it up on the way home and Kenzie was out before we even left the parking lot!
(The credit card machine was down when I paid for my car so she did it the old fashion way with the carbon paper and imprinted my card.....the lady called me later and said she didn't get all the number, so I gave it to her, she called back and needed the expiration number, so I gave it to her--then realized I got charged $288.12---it was a good car wash but not that good!!!  She added an extra 8 in there!!!  It should all be taken care of, but I was shocked to see that the next day)
When we got home Makenzie wouldn't go back to sleep so we decided to chance it some more and loaded the kids back up to go to Claire's to look around! That is not a place for a toddler! Kenzie's little grabby hands were on everything and she took off running in and out of earring towers--it was crazy! We had dinner at Culvers and then called it a night!
The babies screamed the whole way home! I had about 10 ice creams in my lap so Korie had to turn around and let them hold one hand, while driving, the whole way home!!!
Saturday we headed to Mimi and Papa's house! We went to lunch and then headed to Jacobs 2nd birthday party!
The birthday boy giving Kenzie a hug
Helping Papa put together new toys
My little hoochie decided to sit like this during the party--for a long time!!!  (Not sure where she picked that up from)

We came home and waited outside for daddy to get home from work. Kenzie loves to look at the bugs and pick ALL my flowers and bring them to me one by one!!
We came in and Makenzie decide Kirbydog needed help eating his food and began feeding it to him one piece at a time--poor dog!

Sunday I went to Canton with the girls, and John, to shop!
We had so much fun!  I got a time out chair and a step stool that I will paint and fix up!!  I also got lots of ribbon to make bows, and 26 bows--yes 26 bows!  They were a dollar each and I needed 2 in each color for piggy tails!!   I thought it was a great deal---Scotty couldn't believe when I kept pulling bows out of my bag!! Scotty and Makenzie spent the day together! They went and got coffee and then went to Shenaniganz and played!!  Such a good daddy!!

We had a great weekend! I'm so glad my baby is feeling better(no fever since Friday morning)!!
