Our room was amazing. The door had a banner on it for our anniversary and had 2 swans made out of towels on our bed. The room was fantastic. It had a big jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room between the bathroom and the bedroom. The bathroom had a separate "potty room" and a huge marble shower. Past the bath was a big comfy bed and then a sitting area with a couch and table. We had a huge patio that overlooked a gorgeous pool area. After we were able to get into our room we changed and headed to the beach. The water was still pretty cold but it was so nice to lay on the beach and relax. That night there was a Pirates of the Caribbean buffet party on the beach. We changed and headed down to have dinner.
We met some friends at dinner that we hung out with throughout our trip. It was yummy food and we had a blast. We headed back to the room and called it a night since we had been up since 4am.
Tuesday we woke up early and headed to breakfast and then I headed off to the spa for a massage. I got there early and started with a "hydro massage". It was different, but ok. I took a shower then got in a steam sauna, then into a warm pool with 5 stations of pressured water that massaged, then took an ice bath, then warm shower, then had a bucket of cold water poured on me, then into a sauna, then dipped into an ice pool, then did the 5 stations in a cold pool. The whole session took an hour and then I headed up stairs for my massage. It was 100 minutes and was amazing. My masseuse fixed my hair after the scalp massage....
I was surprised to find this when I looked in the mirror. I knew he was playing with my hair but I had no idea he had done this. Scotty showed up while I was getting my massage and had watched some people doing the hydro massage and he wanted to do one, so we booked a couples massage for the next day. We headed out for the pool and passed this "little" guy on the way....
He was huge. Probably about 3 feet from his head to his tail. They were everywhere. Walking down the sidewalk, laying in the grass, but mostly hanging out on the bridges that go over the pools. Did I mention I HATE lizards. After I saw the first one I was on the lookout. That night we went to a Michael Jackson show. It was really good. There was a guy that looked just like him and danced pretty close to him that danced with back up dancers with his videos playing in the background--they looked almost just as good as the actual videos did. I forgot my camera in the room so I didn't get any pictures.
Wednesday, Scotty and I headed out first thing for our massages. We did the hydro massage first, which was much more fun having him with me than doing it by myself. We headed up stairs for our massage--Scotty was hilarious. He has never had a massage and only knew what I had told him yesterday after getting mine. The little guy that had done my massage the day before did his, and I had a lady (which was weird to us--we figured the girl would do him and I would have the guy). Needless to say, Scotty hated it and was very uncomfortable. When they left the room, I looked over at him and all I could do was laugh at his expression and remarks that he made. I will spare the details, but lets just say that he won't get another massage---I have never laughed so hard in my life. We left and headed down for our last day at the pool. We were there from about 10 to 6:30. Scotty was so paranoid about getting sunburned that he used a whole bottle of sunscreen that day--but he didn't get sunburned....at all, he doesn't even look like he was in the sun. I, however, in the mix of worrying about getting sunscreen on him, and laughing at him, did not put enough sunscreen on and got sunburned. Mostly my knees(from tanning with them bent up) and my feet. That night we went to a fire show....
They had amazing drummers and then girls that twirled and danced with bands on fire, and guys with huge batons and ropes on fire. It was really cool. We were sad to go back to the room to pack up to come home the next morning.
Thursday, we headed to the airport and left about 1pm and didn't land in Dallas until 4:30....it was the longest plane ride EVER. Dallas had developed storms and we had to fly way west to miss them and then circle around and come back from the North which put us behind. We flew in thick clouds almost the whole way so it was hard to see out the windows and it was super bumpy. It was so nice to be back home, but also back to reality. We got stuck in rush hour traffic and the normal 45 minute drive took almost 2 hours. We finally made it to Mimi and Papa's house and I got to hold my baby. I missed her so much. I rang the door bell and Mimi picked her up and had her peek around the door to see me. She just started laughing so hard and was so happy to see me. It was really sweet. She had to stay home with Papa because she got sick the day before and ran fever and threw up 2 times. I am so blessed to have amazing parents that take time and enjoy watching my daughter. They do everything and anything they can for me and my family. Kenzie loves them so much and had such a good time.
I took Makenzie to Jennifer's today for the morning. It was her last day today to stay with her. It was harder picking her up today than I thought. Makenzie has gone to her since she was 6 weeks old.
I took that picture on her first day of going to Jennifer's, and she sent me the second picture today. She has been so good to Makenzie and she loves her. Makenzie loves her and is so comfortable going there and she has her little friends and a routine. I'm so nervous about taking her to school on Monday and leaving her with new teachers and new kids. She just seems so little and I know she will be scared and lonely. I hope we are making the right decision to switch her now. I KNOW she needs to be in a more structured place and be around more kids her own age. It will be good for her, I'm just having a hard time with it. I'm sure there will be lots of tears on Monday. While she was at Jennifer's I went to Korie's house and hung out with her, Shannon, Dallas and Presley. We ran to Hobby Lobby to get craft supplies and picked up Kenzie on the way home. We had "wreath day" when we got home and made super cute wreaths.
Scotty called and wanted me and Makenzie to meet him and Eric and Jessica for dinner. I had a feeling it wasn't a good idea but went ahead and packed us up and headed up there. She had to sit in a highchair and had meltdown after meltdown. I know she was tired and cranky and hates the highchair, but it was still so nerve wracking. I had to pack up my dinner and bring it home with me so that I could
