Slumber parties and outside fun

Sunday night we went to dinner with the Hogan’s and Madison brought her friend Tessa. They sang to Madi for her birthday and we all had the best time.

Madison went home with Tessa and spent the night and Rylee and Paislee came and spent the night with us.  The kids were out of school on Monday for Presidents’ Day.  It was so nice outside and they played outside all day.  My neighbor sent me a picture of Kenzie climbing a tree in the woods next to our house.  I was so against the kids going in there but finally gave in and they have so much fun exploring and playing.  (They have lots of rules regarding the woods and know how far they can go, what not to touch and have to check in frequently)

Autumn and I took the kids to the park to play for awhile that afternoon.  We ended up staying a few hours and let them run some energy out.

It was such a fun day playing outside all day.  The kids had a blast and not one TV show was watched or video game played!  

Our week

Landon loves taking the puppy out to potty because it gives him the chance to jump on the trampoline.  It has been so rainy and with the pool being built it is a mud pit in the backyard.  The kids haven’t been able to play in the back there for awhile.

Max enjoys sitting out front with me watching all the kids play.  All the neighbors are in love with him too.

Landon is such a ham.  I could watch him play all day!

I am loving our new Sunday routine.  Madison is the only one that goes to church with me and then we get some one on one time afterwards.  We will go get groceries, or run some errands and have lunch together!  Love getting to spend some quality time with my middle child!

Max took to his bed right off and loves laying in it.  He will go get a toy and bring it back to his bed.

At night he loves laying with me in my bed until I have to wrestle him in his crate.  He is not a fan.

Landon and I took Max to the vet for a check up.  He weighed 15.5 pounds.  The doctor said he looks perfect predicts him to be very big, maybe 60-70 pounds based off the size of his paws and parents.  We have him scheduled for his next round of shots.

We are all amazed at how laid back he is.  We were ready for a crazy puppy that chews on everything and runs around wild.  He is LAZY.  He hasn’t chewed on anything, other than socks and shoes.  We always find those in his bed.

Landon had a Valentine party at school and Scotty and I both went.  Somehow I didn’t get any pictures there but snapped one when we left.  He was so excited to look through all his goodies.

Thursday we surprised the girls at school during lunch.  I ate with Makenzie and Scotty with Madison.  They were so excited to see us.

These two are already best friends.   Max is gentle but very playful with Landon.  

Landon sat in his bed with him and played the harmonica for him.  (I have a video of him giving him a high five that I need to come back and add)

for Great Wolf Lodge.  He went from terrified to even go in the bathroom that morning to going tee tee in the potty every time after I picked him up from school that day.  (Feb 5th)  He isn’t going poop in the potty yet, but I’ll take this progress.

The kids were out of school Friday so we went to the movies.  Landon fell asleep almost immediately.  Sweet boy.  

Meet Max

We got home from Great Wolf Lodge on Friday and cleaned up the house to get ready and bring our new puppy home!!  We were all so excited.  Bebe and Papa came out and rode with us to pick him up.  He was so much bigger than the last time we saw him.  

We are all so in love with him.  He is really good so far and has taken to potty training really well. He even let me sleep all night without whining or having an accident.  We put a bell on the back door and ring it every time we take him outside and he has even done it a few times himself.  I let him on the bed with me the first night while I watched my shows and he was the best snuggler.  Madison is a little apprehensive of him since he is still a puppy and a bit nippy.  Here’s a few pictures of him before we got him.

He was born on November 29, 2019.

He weighed 10 pounds at his 6 week check up.

The lady we got him from was so nice and sent us lots of pictures of him!  

Happy 6th Birthday Madison

Wednesday I picked the kids up from school and we headed out to Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate Madison turning 6.  The Hogan’s were supposed to go too, but the flu hit their house.  I was solo with 3 kids at the water park since Scotty didn’t get off work until 9 and then headed to meet us.

The next morning was Madison’s birthday.  I packed some breakfast, a few decorations and her presents.

We spent the day at the water park.  Landon ended up falling asleep on me so I carried him back to the room and let him nap while they finished playing.  

We showered and got ready and stopped off at the arcade on the way to dinner.  When Madison concentrates, she sticks her tongue out.  I caught her doing it while playing skeeball and it was cracking me up.

She picked Red Robin for dinner.  We love this sassy 6 year old more than she will ever know!  She is so funny, smart, sometimes sweet, always sassy, silly and loving!!  We can’t wait to see what year 6 has in store for her.
