Visiting Kerrville

We came home from Great Wolfe on Friday and the next day we headed down to Kerrville to visit my aunts and uncles with my mom.  Later that night their small town had a Christmas Parade .  All the cousins were there and they had fun waving to all the floats.

The next day the kids played in the dirt and took 4 wheeler rides.  They also had fun collecting pecans from their front yard.  We met my uncle and his side of the family for lunch later on.

Our visit got cut a little early when Makenzie started not feeling well.

Great Wolfe Lodge

We took the kids to Great Wolfe Lodge to celebrate Paislee's birthday.  We had never been and were so excited.   Autumn and I took all the kids on Wednesday right after school and the dads met up there when they got off work.

The kids had so much fun swimming.   Landon kept howling and it was so cute.  After we changed into our jammies we met down at the arcade to play some games.

The next morning we had breakfast in our rooms and then went down to the pools to play.  We stayed there for most of the day and the kids had a blast.  Landon went down way bigger slides than I thought he would and the big girls ran around and played by themselves.  We went back to our rooms to shower and change and then met for dinner at Uncle Julios for Paislees' birthday dinner.  We came back to the hotel and the big girls got ready to play a magic wand game with their dads.

We had such a fun time.  It was a nice little getaway for us and we will definitely be back!

November fun

We somehow got a date night with all our besties.  We had so much fun at our neighborhood casino night.
The kids all had dental appointments after school.  They all did so good!  I stayed with Landon the whole time just to make sure he stayed calm and let her do the whole exam.

We went out to dinner to celebrate Chris' birthday.  Landons favorite part was the cupcake.  He shoved it in his mouth and made a huge mess.

I finally put Landon's bike seat on the back of mine.  We went on a bike ride to the park and he loved it.

I took Landon to get a haircut.  He loves going so he can get suckers when he is finished.  He always asks for 3 so he can give his sisters one, even though he ends up eating all 3.

Block party

Our cul de sac had a block party.  We LOVE our neighbors and are so lucky to have so many kids so close in age to my kids.  They all play so well together.  After school they are all outside playing until dinner time.  The block party was so much fun.  All 9 houses came out and the kids ran around playing all day.

The weather could not have been any more perfect.  Good company, good food, great day.

The stomach virus hits the Smith house

Landon had his pumpkin party at school the day after Halloween.  Madison was sick with a stomach virus so Bebe came to the rescue and took Landon to his party.

Madison stayed home from school on Friday.  It gave me some down time to set up my dining table for Thanksgiving and start on my Christmas decor.  We are hosting Thanksgiving so I wanted the dining room to stay fall'ish.

Madison started feeling better and I ended up catching it Saturday  night.  Luckily Scotty was home on Sunday to let me sleep all day.  Everyone went to school Monday and I laid around resting until the school called to let me know Makenzie threw up at school.  I picked her up and tried to keep her confined to her room.  Poor girl was down for the count for a few hours and felt completely better by the morning.  I kept her home to rest just in case.  Thursday morning Landon told me his belly hurt and laid down in my bed and then my worst stomach virus nightmare came true.  Landon caught the virus too.  I spent the day trying to catch as much as I could in a trashcan.  He didn't give me much warning though.  He ended up getting it the worst.  I called his pediatrician after his 11th time to throw up.  She called him in some anti nausea medicine and that finally gave him some relief.   He felt fine the next day and I tried to keep him contained to the couch.

Everyone finally started to feel better, and luckily Scotty didn't catch it.  I deep cleaned everything and hopefully got the virus out of our house.
