Mom and Dad getaway

Scotty and I were able to sneak off on a 5 day cruise.  My mom is the best and came over and spent the week with the kids while we were gone.  I missed them like crazy, but it was so nice to get away just with Scotty and have some us time.  Sitting at the pool and not having to count heads to make sure I knew where everyone was, or hearing "watch this" "did you see that" "are you watching" "look at me" was amazing.  The kids made us some pearler beads and wanted us to take them with us on our cruise so we would think about them.  We decided to take pictures of them at different places on the cruise.

The thought that was the funniest thing ever seeing their beads in all the different places.

We stayed on the boat the whole time and didn't get off at any ports.  We got massages, took naps, shopped, gambled, saw shows, went to the comedy club, ate way to much food, drank a few too many drinks and had so much fun together.  It was so nice to get away and spend some one on one time together.  I was so ready to get home and see my babies though.  Mom did a great job with them.  I know 3 kids is a lot especially when you aren't used to it all day everyday.  The kids were happy and made it to school and all their events and mom survived too. I did get this picture from mom one day that made me laugh.  She said she was tired and ready for us to be home.
The girls were excited to see us and Landon didn't know what to think.  He climbed up in my lap and was smiling but staring at me and would just say "Mama" over and over.  It was so sweet.  However, I'm pretty sure he thinks I"m going to leave him again because he won't let me out of his sight.  It's 100 times worse now than before.  I'm going to soak it up for awhile though.

A little catch up

Kenzie's school celebrated Grandparent's week and Bebe came up and ate lunch with her.  (Papa was stuck at work but he sent a sweet note with Bebe to give to her)

Landon is still obsessed with Mickey Mouse.  He saw one at Kohl's and had to have it.  He hugged it and would give it kisses the whole time we were shopping.

He also had his 18 month check up.  He takes after his mom and is not a fan of the scale.  He is a healthy boy.
Kenzie had her first volleyball game and played really well.  She was so nervous but by the end of the game was so excited and playing awesome.
We started going to church and have been attending the Re Engage program.  This was our first night walking up to take the kids into the childcare room.  Landon was so excited and thought he was hot stuff with his backpack on.  Unfortunately it didn't last long.  He lost his mind when we dropped him off and could hear him the minute we opened the door in the kids area when our class was over.  They said he cried for most of the time.  That makes me sad but I'm hoping this little break between us will help his separation anxiety.
I waited until the very last minute to pack for our cruise.  I wanted to zip Landon up inside and bring him with me.  Sweet boy didn't know what was coming....mommy leaving for 6 days.  That day was also the Cowboy's season opener.  Scotty taught Landon to cheer on the Cowboys.

What we have been up to

The girls have been begging to play outside at our new house.  They have been so eager to meet new kids and are so tired of being cooped up inside.  One day after school I got out their jeep and Makenzie drove them up and down the street until we melted in the sun.  She was cracking us up.  She would laugh and laugh and not always hold onto the steering wheel and Madison looked terrified the whole time.

Madison was excited to show me that she learned how to write her name.  I am so proud of her.  Landon showed off by going potty in his potty chair.  Super proud of him too.

This poor boy.  Firetrucks and pink sunglasses......life with sisters.

Bebe has been coming over a lot lately since she has to bring uncle Momo to work close to our house everyday.  She will just hang out with us instead of driving all the way home and having to come back to pick him up after work.   The kids LOVE it.

Makenzie started volleyball.  She is loving it so far.  She has never played before so this is a new adventure for us.  She did really good at her first practice and didn't want to leave to come home.  Landon had fun playing peek-a-boo and running out on the court.

One morning we went to Target to get 2 things that we needed later for dinner.  While we were finishing up we heard it start storming.  It was raining so hard and I didn't have an umbrella so we stayed in the store for 2 hours walking around and looking at stuff until it stopped raining.  The kids did surprisingly well.  We came home and laid around and watched a movie.  I loved having all my babies snuggled up on me.

Madison's first day of Pre-K

Madison has been so excited for her first day of school.  She woke up early and was in the best mood getting ready.

She has the sweetest teachers.  The one on the left is a friend of a friend and Scotty and I played softball with her husband.  She is super sweet.  I am praying for a great year for her.
