0-0-the BIG 3-0

Happy Birthday to me!!!  I can't believe I'm 30.  I never thought I would be 30.  It always seemed so far away, yet here it is!!!  My birthday started off with the not so great news about our moving situation.  I was pretty sad and grumpy until I walked into work and saw this.....

It was so sweet, and I so needed that!!!  I had a necklace that I wore all day and loved seeing all the decorations every time I sat down at my desk.  I spent my birthday night moving to our storage building.  Scotty brought home a lemon cake that was so good!!!  Definitely blessed on my 30th birthday!!!

Let the moving begin.....take 1

Our moving plan has been changed a little. There was a mix up with our paperwork and our closing date has been moved to the end of July.  We still have someone moving in our house on July 1st so we have to be out before then.  I stopped and got a storage room and mom and dad came over to help.  Mom watched the girls and dad and I both loaded our cars and went to storage.  When we got back Scotty was home and we all loaded our cars up again and made another trip to storage.   We hardly made a dent in the garage, but at least it's a start.

We will be staying with Lance for about a month until we are able to close on our new house.  It is going to be a big adjustment to our family but we are so thankful that we will all be together and will have a place to stay.

Mommy Fail

I promise she had been laughing the other 100 times that I jumped up and said boo.  The one time I tried to catch it on camera she decides it scares her.  Love her little cry face though.

Date night and Sunday funday

Kenzie stayed the night at Bebe and Papa's house Saturday night.  We decided to take that opportunity to go to dinner.  We packed up Madi and headed to On the Border.
Madi did wonderful and dinner was terrific.  It was the first time in months that we have been out to eat since my stomach has been messed up.  Thankfully since my surgery I have not had any problems with my stomach.  We enjoyed our dinner and company.

Sunday we slept in until 9 freaking o'clock.  I couldn't believe it.  Of course Madi woke up at 6 and I fed her but then we both went right back to sleep.  Kenzie has learned she can get out of her bed and come in our room in the mornings.  It's very unnerving to wake up to a whisper saying "mama, mama, oh-mama" and when I open my eyes she is within inches from my face.  So it was a nice surprise to sleep in today.  We got ready and went to breakfast and then did some grocery shopping.
See the baby in there.  We haven't had groceries in weeks.  I've been so busy packing that I have not cooked in awhile and most of our kitchen stuff is packed up.  We went home and unloaded the groceries and then headed back out to look at furniture.  We found a living room set that we liked and now just need to find a kitchen table.
Madison approved of the couches we picked out.  She is such a sweet girl.  Always smiling and always happy.  Next up was Garden Ridge to look for some bar stools.  We found a couple and I'll have to make my mind up on which ones we go with.  Madison sat in the buggy for the first time.
She has gotten so heavy in her carrier that it is so much easier to just carry her in the stores.  That is until I can't make up my mind on things and the shopping trip takes longer than planned.  She gets a little heavy then.  She loved sitting in the seat by herself.  We headed to Bebe and Papa's house to pick up Makenzie. She had so much fun with them.  We stopped off at the new house on the way home to measure and make sure that the new couches were going fit.  We met the new neighbors that are moving in next door to us. Turns out they are my patients at work.  They have a 2 year old little girl and 5 year old boy.  So glad to know they are nice and have little kids too.  I think the couches are going to fit perfect.  We came home and brought everything from the attic down.  I didn't want to forget all my stuff when we moved.  It made me realize just how much Christmas and Halloween decorations that I have.  We spent the rest of the night doing baths and cleaning up getting ready for the week.
This next week is a big one for us.  The rest of the house has to be packed up.  My birthday is Thursday and fingers crossed we will close on the new house Thursday too.  Then we get to move all our stuff!!!

Pedicure and the dentist

I picked Kenzie up yesterday from school and we went and got pedicures!  It just isn't the same when I take her with me, but I'm hoping she will catch on if we keep going!!

Today Kenzie had her first dentist appointment!  I had higher expectations for the visit than what actually happened. We have been talking about it and we even went into Build a Bear beforehand and picked out her prize that we would come back and get when we were finished!! She cried and screamed and bit down on all the tools--it was terrible!!  She had some tartar that needed to be scraped off but she wasn't able to!  I can't wait to come back in 6 months and do it again!!

Kenzie-isms

I think Kenzie has her own language sometimes!!  I love listening to her talk and the funny things she says!!

She says "dute" for door.  I hope she always calls it that!!  Especially when she gets mad and says "I said don't close that dute", how can you get mad at her when she sounds so cute!!

She has been on a "I a good gurl" kick lately.  She puts a little twang on the girl.  She constantly tells me she is a good girl, most of the time I agree!!

Boobies!  I can't believe I have to say my daughter is obsessed with boobies!!  She always points hers out, and mine, in the most in opportune moments like checking out at the store.  She will pat my shirt and say "mommy has boobies".  I just roll my eyes and keep going!  Yesterday when I picked her up from school her teacher, Christy, told me that she told everyone that came to pick up their kids  that "Ms. Kisty has boobies".   OMG

Almosh!  I love when I ask her if she's ready or finished and she says "almosh".
When she's showing off for people she will say "look at me guys".  If she comes into a room she will say "hey guys".  So cute!

Fun in the sun

We have been making the best of summer so far!!  We have played outside every night.  Dallas and Koko have been coming over and playing in Kenzie's pool.  They think it is so fun to go down the slide into the pool.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to two of the best daddy's I know!
My daddy is a one in a million!  He is the first man I ever loved and set the bar high!  I look up to him in more ways than he will ever know!  I love the way my girls love him as much as I do!
I knew when I married Scotty that he would be a wonderful daddy!  I did not however know that he would be wrapped around 2 little girls fingers the way he is!  He plays dress up and has tea parties!  He rocks Kenzie's babies and is so gentle with Madison!  He truly is the best daddy for my girls!!

This morning we all wound up in our bed cuddling!  Madison came back to bed with me after her 4:00 feeding and Makenzie came in sometime around 7.   We went and got coffee and breakfast and gave daddy his cards and present!
We headed out to visit Papa and have lunch!  Kenzie played outside all afternoon!  She blew bubbles and played on the swing set!  She loves being outside!!

We got Papa the biggest box of Mike & Ike's I've ever seen!  He LOVES them!!
                 Papa and his girls!!!
                   Daddy and his girls!!!
And of course they had to sit with Bebe!!!

We are so blessed to have these men in our lives!  They truly are the best daddy's in the world!!

Baby laughs

I love her sweet little giggle.

Swimming, snowcones and shopping

Shannon and Presley came over this morning and we took the girls swimming!
Korie and Dallas met us up there too!  The kids had fun playing together and Madison enjoyed a nap!

We changed and headed to lunch! Makenzie was slowly melting down from no nap the whole time!
Not this one. She was all smiles!  Snowcones was next on the list!

Shannon and I went to Tuesday morning to do a little shopping!  Kenzie completely flipped her lid there, I was ready to beat her!! (Jk I would never "beat" her.....) we headed home and since it was too late to let her nap, I let her run off some energy outside!

She started out fully clothed, but slowly she ended up like this....
Oh to be 2 again and swim naked in the backyard!!!  She was also very excited she got to potty in the grass "like Dallas".  I'll spare that picture!!!

Sweet summertime

I stopped on the way home from work and got the girls a little pool to play in!!

Kenzie loved filling it up more than anything!!!  I made her go down the slide one time but she was not a fan!!

Madi loved it too!!!  I didn't keep her in there too long because the water was cold!

Of course all good things must come to an end!  Kenzie threw a temper tantrum and we had to go inside!!

One step closer

Yesterday we had our walk through of our new house!  We went room by room and pointed out anything that we saw that wasn't perfect!  It was mostly paint touch ups!  There is a light switch that we can't figure out what it goes to, so they will figure that out!! It's so exciting that it will be ours in just a few weeks!!

We picked up the girls and went out to dinner for the first time in months!!
My stomach did fine afterwards so I'm hopeful I am on the road to recovery!!!  We headed home and did some more packing before bed!!!
I am happy to report that Madison slept all night and was unswaddled!!
Now that she can roll over from her back to her tummy we needed to break the swaddle habit!!  She has been doing pretty good, but last night was the first night to sleep all the way through!!!

Yesterday morning Makenzie had us cracking up!!  Scotty woke her up and took her to potty!  I came in and said good morning and she told me she pottied!!  Scotty went to wipe her and she giggled and peed a little more and it got on his hand!  I started laughing, but Kenzie put her hands on her hips and scrunched up her face and said "daddy I said I wasn't frew yet, gosh!! She said it very angrily!!!  I thought I was going to die!!  So much attitude!!  I love that she was so mad but said frew, how could we take her serious!!!  Love her!
