Closing Day

Wednesday was finally the day! We finally closed on our new house.  This has been the longest journey ever but it is finally over.  We dropped Landon off at school and then went to the house to do our final walk through.  Everything looked good but we did find a few issues with the counter top on the island.  They scheduled someone to come out and look at it but we were given the OK to head to close on the house.

The next day we had contractors come out to install our backsplash.  We also had blinds installed.  Landon and I spent the day moving boxes all day.

The movers were scheduled to come the following week so I spend all my free time moving over all the boxes and things I could over to the new house.  We had someone come out and install our pendant lights and ceiling fans.  I wanted to have as much done as I could before all our stuff was moved in.

Landon's first day of School

He did so good.  He walked right in all by himself and didn't even look back.  I was amazed.  When I picked him up he was so excited to see me at the door.  I remembered to get a picture of him and his teachers before we left.  I am so proud of him.

First week of school

Landon's hair cut didn't turn out like we liked it so I took him to his normal barber shop and got it cut again before he started school.
We have been waking up a little earlier that we normally would and drive to Autumn's house and walk to school.  Rylee went with us one day.

Landon has been "helping" me pack up our house to get ready to move.  I have been getting a workout in moving boxes one by one down the stairs.

We took advantage of an empty pool a few days after school.  I will miss living so close to the community pool.  It has been so nice just walking a few houses up to go swimming.
I went and had lunch with Madison on Wednesday.  She didn't know I was coming and was so excited to see me when she walked in the cafeteria.  Her lunch is at 10:40 and I had a hard time finding a place that would serve lunch that early.  Makenzie's lunch is at 12 and I didn't have time to run and get her something to eat and be back in time so I had lunch with her the next day.

Landon has been loving his one on one time with me this week.  Poor guy has no clue that he is about to start school next week.

I took Landon to Lowe's with me to get ceiling fans for the new house.  Our plan is to install them all before we move in.  He loved riding on the cart.

Friday morning Landon had meet the teacher for his school.  His teachers seem really sweet and he did so good.  He went right in and started playing and didn't seem apprehensive at all.  We will see how he does on his first day.

The kids have been enjoying playing outside with the neighbors.  We are going to miss all the friends we have made on our street.

This boy is wrecking havoc around the house lately.  The TV stand has become his car table and he has to get out EVERY car he has and drive them.
I also followed a trail of toilet paper to find him picking up a bug in the hallway.  We need to teach him to just tear off a piece.

1st day of School

We left the house early enough to go to our new house and take pictures on our new porch.  We also met some of the kids on our cul-de-sac and we all walked to school together.

Bubs and I ran a few errands while the girls were at school.  He asked a million times where his sisters were.  We were both so excited to pick them up from school and hear all about their day.  They both had a great first day and were excited to go back the next day.
