Life since vacation

I have been playing catch up ever since we got home.  Monday I hit the gym up first thing.  It was brutal.  I was so out of breath and tired and I could tell a huge difference after missing a week of working out.  Kenzie had gymnastics later that morning and we picked up Chick fil a on the way to buy groceries.  We had absolutely nothing to eat at the house.  Korie and Dallas came over to play when we got home and then we had cheer leading practice.  The girls did so good and are really polishing up the routine.  Tuesday morning I woke up so sore I couldn't even get out of bed.  I took Kenzie to school and then Madison and I went to the gym.  I decided not to do my class and worked out on my own instead.  I did an hour on the treadmill and then worked my arms.  I met up with my girls in the sauna and then Madison and I went to Hobby Lobby and headed home.  I ran around doing laundry and cleaning while she took her nap.  We picked up Makenzie from school and headed home to get ready for the cheer performance we had at UT Dallas.  We ended up getting home super late and I was so excited to find Scotty folding clothes when we got home.  Today I woke up feeling like CRAP.  I either have a cold or major sinus/allergy issues going on.  The girls and I decorated for Halloween and then met Scotty for lunch.
After lunch the girls and I ran a few errands until Madison was pushed to her limits.  She screamed and cried like a crazy person.  I feel bad because I know she wants her pacifier but we are trying to get rid of it.  While we were on the cruise we let her have it when she wanted to keep the peace, but now that we are back home it is back to having it only in her bed and then we are slowly going to phase it out.  I have held my ground and haven't given in.  Hopefully we can continue to be strong about it.  When we got home my head was pounding so I laid Madison down for a nap and I laid down and took a little nap too.  I'm not sure what I was thinking scheduling Kenzie a make up gymnastic class on our only day off but I did.  I loaded up my snotty self, a screaming Madison and Makenzie who was happy and ready to go.  We ended up seeing a bunch of mommy's that I knew and Madi and I changed our attitudes.  We came home and had leftovers and baths and now I am ready to crash.  I think I'm going to skip the gym tomorrow and give myself another day to rest.  Kenzie has school and that will give me good cleaning time.

Cruise--Saturday/Sunday

Saturday morning Madison hung out with my parents while we took Makenzie swimming.  It was nice getting to spend some alone time with her.  She is so cute and funny and I am amazed by her everyday.  It started raining on us so we headed back to the room.  We decided to order room service and hang out in the room and watch movies.  Scotty went to watch some football while us girls lounged around.  He came charging through the door to tell us he hit the jackpot on a slot machine and won $3400.  I couldn't believe it.  When he came back I went down to the casino for a little bit.  I did not have the same luck Scotty did.  Later on we went up to the top of the boat and played miniature golf.

We skipped going to the dining room for dinner and went to a sand which place at the back of the boat (or front, I'm not sure which end we were on).  It was the best meal I think I had the entire time.  Sad we didn't go there sooner.  Scotty took Makenzie to Camp Carnival after dinner to go to the farewell party they were having.  That night Scotty watched the kids while I went and played on the slot machines with my parents.  I broke even but was able to play for about an hour and a half on what I originally put in.  I went back to the room and packed us up to leave the next morning.

Sunday morning we were up super early to get breakfast and then all our stuff ready to leave.  It was raining and nasty.  We were supposed to wait around until 10:45 to get off the boat but we snuck down a little early and stepped off the boat about 10.  We had 6 suitcases to pick up and it was an awful hour wait to get through customs to leave.  Kenzie met a friend in line and kept us entertained but Scotty and I were exhausted from carrying all the suitcases and Madison the whole time.  We finally got off a shuttle at our car and started our trek home.  The ride home wasn't bad and we all got in a little nap.
Right when we pulled in to eat in Rockwall, Madison threw up.  I'm not sure what that was about because she was fine the rest of the night and since.  Maybe she just car car sick or hot.  I got us all unpacked and it was nice to sleep in my own bed.  We had a wonderful vacation and it was so nice to have a whole week of nothing but family time and fun!!!

Cruise--Friday

Friday we didn't have any plans so we took Makenzie to Camp Carnival so she could play.  Madi, Scotty and I couldn't find much to do and the pool was WAY too crowded so we went and picked Makenzie up and we ordered a movie in our room.  That night was elegant night at dinner.  The girls looked so cute.

After dinner we took the girls to the "Night Owls" so we could go to the comedy club and have a date night.  It was really funny and we had a great time.  When we picked the girls up a little after midnight, they were wide awake running around playing.  Everyone else was sleeping.

Cruise--Thursday

Thursday morning we docked in Mahagny Bay, Roatan.  We ate breakfast and took our time getting off the boat and then headed towards the beach where we stayed the day.  Scotty, Kenzie and I rode on a chair lift that took us up and over the ocean and dropped us off on the beach.  Madi was too little so she walked with Bebe and Papa.

We got to the beach and set up all our gear.  The girls played for a little while in the sand before we got in the water.

Madison was so sleepy while we were floating.  I laid her down on  my float and she fell asleep.  It was so cute.  I wanted her to have a little nap and I knew if we swam to the shore and got her out she would be super grumpy and wouldn't go back to sleep.  Instead we flipped the bottom of the raft up and over her so she would have some shade and kept her by us while we floated around.

It was a great day at the beach.  Kenzie and I rode the chairlift back and Scotty took Madison with him.  When we got back on the boat we showered and took naps and then got ready for dinner. After dinner Bebe came with us and we went to see a magic/comedy show.  We were a little early and the cruise director that was doing the show came up to me and asked me to be a part of the show.  It was fun but a bummer to know it was all staged.
When the show was over, Bebe stayed with the girls in our room so Scotty and I could go out for the night.  We went to the comedy club and then to the casino.  We lost big, and FAST so we came back and called it a night.

Celebrating Kaitlyn

Tonight Kenzie's cheer squad was invited to cheer at a UTD volleyball game!  The team has adopted our cheerleader Kaitlyn and supported her during her cancer struggles!  She has had leukemia twice and kicked its butt TWICE!!  We were all very excited to go and celebrate her tonight!

The girls did amazing and only one got smacked in the face by a volleyball!!  Madison came with me and I let her run loose with the girls and she LOVED IT!  She got her makeup done and carried around pom poms and danced!!!  It was a great night and I'm so happy for Kaitlyn and her family!!

Cruise--Wednesday

Wednesday the boat docked in Belize.  We hadn't found an excursion that we really liked so we decided to stay on the boat and swim all day.  Best time ever.  It wasn't crowded at all since most everyone had gotten off the boat.  We drank way too many beers and met new friends and had a blast.

After naps and cleaning up we went to dinner.  Kenzie and Madi got up and danced with our waiters during their performance.
After dinner we went and saw an illusion show.  It was TERRIBLE.  We sat through it though and I think the girls liked the lights and music.

It had been a LONG day and we were all ready to call it a night.

Cruise--Tuesday

Tuesday morning was an early one for us.  We had to be up, dressed, eat breakfast and be off the boat in time to catch our excursion.  We made it.  We went to Chankanaub Island in Cozumel for the day.  Scotty and Makenzie got to swim with a dolphin.  Kenzie loved it.  She got to kiss, dance, pet and instruct him to do tricks.

After their dolphin swim was over we headed to the beach to play.  The water was crystal clear and you could see fish swimming around you.  Kenzie loved it but Madi was ready for a nap.

We got back on the boat and took showers and naps then headed to dinner.  We took Kenzie to Camp Carnival to play for a little while.  Scotty, Madi and I walked around for a little while and I spotted 2 girls that I follow on blogs.  So random to see them.  They wanted a picture and were super nice.
We went into the Showtime Lounge where they had some dance lessons going on that we stayed and watched for awhile.  Madison was so into it.  She rested her head between the seats and just watched it contently.
