Our weekend

Saturday Bebe and I took the kids skating.  I was worried how bubba would do but he was amazing.  He had snacks, the iPad and cars and did great.

We stayed a couple hours and then Autumn and the girls showed up so we stayed a little longer.

Kenzie had a friend come over and spend the night later on.  Sunday we went to Bebe and Papa’s while Scotty had a fantasy baseball draft.  The kids helped Papa with some yard work and then we spent the afternoon outside playing and I even got a little nap on a chair on the porch.

Madison took pony pictures a few weeks ago at school!  They came home yesterday and are so cute.

Last night after Scotty got home, I took the girls to our old neighborhood for a walk.  We parked at the front of the neighborhood and they rode their bikes while I jogged.  We ended up doing 2.61 miles!  I couldn’t believe it.  Madison’s legs got a little tired, but she did it.  We stopped off at the school park to play before heading home.

It was a fun night and we will definitely do it again.

A week outside

Landon found a cricket the other day playing outside and was so intrigued by it!  It was alive until he kept picking it up.

His new scooter blows bubbles out the back and he loves riding looking back at them!
He needed a bath so bad after his bug catching, dirt digging and scooter riding.  He loves the bath!  I normally have to cover the floor around the tub with towels to protect from all the splashing.

I love this sweet girl so much!  While we wait in the school pick up line she always comes up front with me.

That afternoon Makenzie had gymnastics so I took the littles on a walk around the block!  It took FOREVER but we did it.

Tuesday Makenzie started volleyball.  She LOVES volleyball and is constantly playing against the house and sneaks it inside when she can.

Thursday night Madison started soccer.  She has been so excited to play again and we have lots of sweet friends on the team.

Kenzie and Landon walked around and collected trasures during practice.
The other morning on the way to school Makenzie was tickled over something and couldn’t stop laughing!  It was so funny!  I’m glad she started her day out so happy!

We had some time to kill after Madison got out of school so we went to the park to play.  Landon discovered how to climb and scared me to death.

When we got home we played outside until dinner time.  It was such a pretty day.

Kenzie made cupcakes after dinner all by herself and they were delicious.

Looking back at our week shows a lot of time spent outside.  I love days like these.  Outside playing, being active, parks—even bugs!  We are so ready for spring and summer!!

Spring break

The kids were out of school last week for Spring break.  I wanted to take them and go somewhere but since we have a cruise coming up we decided to do a staycatuon instead!  Monday Madison did a gymnastics camp! Kenzie, Bubs, and I came home to play!  Kenzie made a checklist of everything she wanted to do and we checked them all off.  We watched a movie, snuggled, she picked out lunch, colored and made slime.

Tuesday I took the girls to Urban Air.  We went to a different one we had never been to and it was really cool.  Dallas and Koko came too!  There weren’t as many trampolines as we are used to, but instead they had a ropes course, a zip line, an area of rock walls and other things to climb and more fun stuff like that.

The kids had so much fun and were wore out by the time we left!  We stopped for lunch/dinner on the way home and called it a day!
Wednesday we attempted to go skating but when we got there the parking lot was full of school and daycare busses.  Scotty took the girls to Shenanigans instead to play some games!  Landon and I went shopping to get new bedding for his new bed.  We met them for dinner and then they went back to bowl and do laser tag!
Thursday Autumn and I took the kids to Fossil Rim to do the drive thru zoo.  It’s 3 hours away so we left early and spent the day.  It was so crowded and the animals were already full but the kids still had a great time.

Madison has a love hate relationship with the emu/ostrich.

Friday we went to the movies to see Wonderpark!  Landon and I had to leave and go to the lobby about halfway thru.  He was very loudly copying everything the movie said and swinging on the lap tray.

Saturday Makenzie had a birthday to go to at the skating rink.  Bebe watched Landon and I took the girls!  They had so much fun.  The skating rink makes me so nervous.  All I can think about are broken bones every time someone falls.

It was a super fun spring break but I was counting down the minutes for Monday morning school drop off.
