Locked up and carving pumpkins

Our morning started out a little hectic.  Kenzie cried all morning and didn't want Scotty to do anything for her, she only wanted to hold Mommy.  She just stood in front of us and cried so I made her go to her room and when she came out I explained why we don't cry like that and that she is a big girl and it's not acceptable and that we love her, blah blah blah.  She rubbed my arm and said she was sorry and I asked her to go tell daddy she was sorry and she said no!  I TOLD her to and she slowly walked over and rubbed his arm real fast and flipped her head around to walk off.  I said "no ma'am, tell daddy you're sorry", so she walked back and said "sowwy" and flipped around again and stomped off.  Both of us laughed.  We are going to be in so much trouble with her as a teenager.   I asked her if she was mad at her daddy and she said yes!!

She was fine once we got in the car, away from daddy, and I wanted to get a picture of her in her cute ghost outfit because I knew it would come home a mess since it was white....

And sure enough, this is what it looked like when I picked her up!

Kenzie was playing in my room and I heard her shut the door and had just said "you better not mess with the lock" when I heard her start crying for me.  Sure enough, she had locked herself in my bedroom.  The light was off and she was crying hysterically.  I ran and grabbed some screw drivers but couldn't get it opened, so I sat down and held her fingers under the door.  Korie had my key because our kids keep taking turns locking random doors in our houses and Dallas had done it last.  Luckily she was home and ran down and we were able to open the door and get her out.
I was so scared.  I may or may not have panicked and cried a little.  She sounded so helpless in there and I knew it was dark in there.  The key is now safely stored in the hall closet (I had been keeping it in my nightstand which would have been locked in there with her) so we can open any door in the house.  The kids played for a little while and were so funny.  It was more like wrestling.  Kenzie would crawl on top of Dallas and then they would kiss and roll around.  It was really cute, so what if they're kissing cousins! LOL

After dinner, Kenzie and I carved a pumpkin.  She wasn't so sure of it at first but then dug right in.

She was very proud of herself and loves her pumpkin!!!

Punkin tummy

Koko came over tonight to draw a punkin, as Kenzie would say, on my tummy!
It turned out really cute!  The kiddos played for awhile and then we headed to Cici's for dinner!  Dallas and Makenzie are too freaking cute together!  They feed off each other and do the silliest things! I love watching them play together!

On a side note, my tummy has been hurting for the past two days! Not a cramp, or contraction! Just a really "full" feeling! It feels like the baby doubled in size or bloated or something and it's much harder to bend or breath now.  I'm hoping its bad indigestion or something that is going to pass.....soon!!!

25 Weeks

 How Far Along: 25 weeks

Size of baby: About the size of a head of cauliflower.  She's more than 13.5 inches long and almost a 2.5 pounds.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +11  ouch!!

Maternity Clothes: Full on maternity clothes.

Gender: GIRL  We decided on the name Madison Grace Smith

Movement: Still a lot of movement and all very low.  I have felt a few up higher and can feel lots of different kicks at the same time all over.

Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty good, but I get up at least once every night to pee which is getting annoying.

What I miss: This week I feel like Madison has doubled in size or something.  My stomach feels bigger and fuller and it got much harder to bend and take big breaths.  I remember this a little with Kenzie, that one day things just got a lot harder.  So I'm going to say I miss being able to bend, breath, and move with ease.

Cravings: Still Mexican.

Best Moment This Week: Kenzie has been putting her hands on my tummy a lot this week to feel Madison kick and will lean over and kiss my belly.  It's really sweet!

Daddy make money

Going back to work today put everything in perspective of how much I want to stay home with my girls.  It was so hard to wake up this morning and get going.  Kenzie hated it, Scotty hated it, Kirby wouldn't get up.....over it.  I thought about her all day and it makes me feel awful when she cries when I drop her off.  (She screamed the whole way in the car to school.  When I dropped her off she didn't want me to go and kept saying "hold you mommy" and clung to my leg.....worst feeling ever) I couldn't wait for the clock to hit 3 so I could get my girl.  Her teacher said she did good today and didn't complain at all about her mouth hurting so that's good.  On the way home we always wave to Daddy's work and say "hi daddy".  As we passed by today she said "hi daddy love you, daddy at work make money"....I thought I was going to die.  I had told her that a few weeks ago when she asked where he was, I said "he's at work making money", I guess she remembered.  When we got home I had her say it again so we could send it to daddy.
She also was pretending to sleep while we were playing.  It is so cute, she purses her lips and makes the most serious expression.
She's such a sweet girl, but today she kept telling me to "stop" and "be nice to Kenzie" but in a mean voice.  She must have heard me tell her that a time or two.  Hearing her say those things back to me, A) makes me laugh, and B) makes me realize to watch what I say to her and the tone that I say it in.

Back to work.....

I hate the feeling I get the night before I go back to work.  It's the feeling of stress to get to sleep so I'm not tired, the task of getting everything together for the next day so I don't forget anything, making sure all the laundry is done so I have scrubs to wear, and the dread of waking up early and making Makenzie get up so early!!  I have enjoyed every second of staying home with my sweet girl this past week.  Even though she has been a little whiny and needy due to her surgery, she is the sweetest, funniest, most caring little girl I have ever met.  I love how she will randomly say "Mama I happy", it makes me tear up just to hear her sweet little voice say that and know that it was unprovoked true happiness.  I love how she wants to cuddle me during the day, cuddles that I don't get in the evenings.  I love how when I tuck her in at night for bed, she makes me give her a thousand kisses and will say "more kiss" every time I'm walking out the door.....who can resist that.  She will put her little hands on the side of my face and pull me towards her.  I could eat her up and kiss her all day.  I love everything little thing about her.

Now, on to our weekend.   Friday night, Korie and Shannon hosted a family Halloween party so we went down there and hung out!!  She didn't want to wear her costume so she just wore a cute outfit instead!

Korie and Shannon dressed up as Lance....I thought it was Scotty and Lance at first, but it was weekend Lance and workday Lance....it was really funny!  The kids ran around and played and painted pumpkins, it was fun!!

Saturday, Kenzie and I ran a few errands and then watched Cinderella for a little while.
She actually laid with me and watched it.  We went and played with Korie and Dallas for a little while and then headed home for a nap!  We just hung out and played the rest of the day.

Today, we all slept in late until 9--woo hoo.  I headed out to grocery shop and Kenzie and Daddy made breakfast!!  After her nap we headed to Bella's 2nd birthday party!!  They had Minnie Mouse and delicious food there.  She was scared of the Minnie at first but warmed up towards the end!!

Kenzie found a pair of "panties" while I was folding clothes and wanted to wear them, wore them all afternoon!!  LOL
While we were shopping the other day, I gave her a toy to hold that I was getting as a gift and she played with it the whole time we were shopping.  It played the ABC's and she was singing it the whole time.  I had no idea that she knew her ABC's.  (it's not perfect by any means, but she knew a lot of it) That night I thought we would practice.  She did great a few times before I could get my camera, but I was able to get this....

It's Fall, y'all

We woke up early this morning (some more than others....Kenzie had me up at 2 with a crying episode, sooo ready for those to be over) and headed out to breakfast and then to the Arboretum.  It is beautiful there and I have never seen so many pumpkins, ever!  Kenzie loved it and ran around all over the place.  I took the opportunity to chase her around with my camera.
She was cracking me up..... she kept wanting to put her hands in her pockets so I would have to open up the little pockets so she could put her hands in.

Scotty had to get to work so we left.  It was a short trip--maybe 45 minutes.  I called back on the way home to see if we came back today if I would have to repay and she said no that our receipt would work all day.  We dropped Daddy off and changed clothes because it had gotten warm and headed back to play some more.  (I had to threaten and turn the car around twice due to her throwing fits in the car--ridiculous).

We grabbed some lemonade on the way out and she was hamming it up.  We stopped for lunch on the way home, which she didn't eat, and then went to Target (2 different ones--I was looking for something specific, neither one had it but of course I found other stuff).  When we got back to the house it was back to the crying, whining, tantrums, and hatefulness.  I don't know if it's just because her mouth hurts, or if its the "terrible twos" or what's going on.  I'm giving her about another 1-2 weeks to make sure she is completely healed and has no excuses and we are having a baby boot camp in the Smith house.  I'm going to turn her little booty around and get my sweet, easy going girl back.
