What we've been up to

Kenzie had dance class on Thursday.  She went in this time on her own without crying so that was a win.  She is absolutely adorable in her little outfit.

We met Korie, Dallas, Shannon and Presley at Cici's for dinner after dance.

Friday morning I forgot to set my alarm so I woke up late when Madi woke up crying.   I hate waking up late.  My whole morning gets thrown off.  After work, Papa brought Bebe over to spend the night and do a few things around the house.  Dad and I ran to Lowes to get a few things and the power went out so our trip was cut short.  We grabbed dinner and sat thru a million red light flashing intersections and made it home to do a few things before Papa headed home.  Mom and I unpacked a few boxes and then called it a night.  I'm so glad we are in our house and Bebe can come over and spend the night again, we all love it.  Saturday morning we woke up early and headed out to run some errands.  I hit the jackpot and had the best shopping trip ever.  I found deals on everything I needed, and didn't need.  We came home for our kitchen table to be delivered.
I love the table!!  We originally ordered a hutch, but it's a little crowed with it behind the table and you really can't see it that well so we are taking that back.  Mom and I organized the playroom and it looks a million times better.  We also emptied a bunch of random boxes and put that stuff away too.  It's coming along SLOWLY.  We took Bebe home and ate dinner there with Papa.  They had a few sparklers for Kenzie to do.
The girls and I headed home so we could see the fireworks at our Celebrate Fate festival they were having.  We made it just in time and Scotty met us up there.

The firework show was amazing.  Maybe even the best I have seen!!  Kenzie loved it and Madison never took her eyes off the fireworks.  I wasn't sure how she would do, but she loved it.

This morning Madi woke up early so I brought her in our room and fed her.  (She has been very hard to feed lately.  She only takes an ounce or two and then is done with it)  She threw up ALL the bottle that she drank not 2 seconds after she finished.  It was like a fountain.  It was everywhere.  We stripped her, and the bed down and we all went back to bed for a little while.  I was supposed to go to Canton to do some shopping with the girls, but Scotty surprised me and said he wanted to go too.  We loaded up the girls and headed out.
It was so flipping hot.  The girls did great and we got some good stuff.  I went specifically to get wooden crosses to paint but they were sold out.   That just means another trip to Canton will have to happen, dang!!  We stopped at Kirklands on the way home to get some curtain rods.  Is it sad that when I walked in 3 of the employees came up and talked to me and called me by name??  I may or may not have been making daily trips there.  They are having an amazing sale and I have gotten such cute stuff.  We went to MiCocina for dinner. We crashed and burned.  Kenzie was in melt down mode, Madi was hungry and then threw up all her bottle again--all over the floor.  I was so embarrassed.  It was all over me, a pool on the floor that spread by 2 tables that were around us.  Yuck.  We ended up going by target so I could get some pedialyte for her, which led to another shopping trip.  I seriously got the best stuff while shopping this weekend.  We hit the ground running when we got home unpacking boxes and rearranging boxes that we didn't need right away in the garage.  We made a pretty good dent in the disaster that is our home right now!!  Madison was able to drink and hold down 5 ounces of pedialyte so I'm hoping she has a good night and we both get to sleep.  She acts perfectly fine.  Not fussy at all and just as smiley as normal.  fingers crossed she feels better!

A skype with Bebe

We skyped Bebe last night and the girls were so funny.  Kenzie was attacking me and Madi was slobbering everywhere.  It was a very chaotic call for sure but I loved it.  I'm so glad we are able to call each other and the girls can see their Bebe anytime they want.

Home Sweet Home

We moved!!!  Saturday the movers came and emptied out our storage buildings.  It was a long, hot day.  I got super sunburned helping watching them, but it was money well spent.
It took 2 full U-Haul sized truck trips and 4 trips with my car full.  Someone had the great idea of not labeling the boxes, so they just stacked everything in the garage.  I tried to peek in some as they brought them in and would direct them where to put it.
The girls stayed with Bebe and Papa for the weekend while we got everything moved in.  We picked them up Sunday and let Kenzie sleep in our bed with us to get used to the new house (and I couldn't find the sheets for her bed).  Monday we transitioned her into her bed.  She cried a little and didn't want to stay in there, but she finally went to sleep and slept all night.
And as a bonus Madi slept in her room all night, which meant me and Scotty slept all night with no kids in our bed.  I can't find the screws for Madison's bed, so she is sleeping in her pack n play for the time being.  I'm hoping I stuck them in a box and that's why they aren't with the rest of the baggies of screws that I put in a safe place.

The garage was full from top to bottom, floor to ceiling.  I spent Sunday and Monday going through what I could, but it was so hard with the kiddos.  Madi cried if I left her sight and Kenzie was bored.  Korie came over tonight and we put all the Christmas, Halloween, fall, spring/Easter up in the attic.  Those totes took up half the garage so now it looks much more manageable.  We brought a good chunk of the boxes inside which will be easier for me to go through.  She wins the best friend award tonight for sure.  Kenzie and Dallas played and Madi hung outside with us in her exersaucer.  At one point we heard Kenzie and Dallas laughing and making lots of noise.  When we peeked in the playroom we saw them putting on a show like they were in a band.  Kenzie was playing the "keyboard" on one of Madi's stand up toys and Dallas was jamming out on the drums on another one of her toys.  They were both giggling and dancing!!  They are so cute.

Finally moving

Last night we were told our 3rd attempt at closing was going to be postponed due to the title company having the wrong survey (that they have had since our first attempt at closing in June.....).  Scotty was so mad, the most mad I have ever seen him--ever! He told them if we didn't close on time then the deal was off and we were moving back home.....nooooooo.  I was not moving back to the old house.  It wasn't "our" house anymore!!!  I went to work today just knowing it wasn't going to work, but somehow it came together and the closings were back on.  We closed on our old house at 3:30 and then raced to Plano to sign the papers on our new house.
At 6:00 we had our keys to our new home.  The bummer is we can't really start moving until Saturday due to working.  I'm meeting the cable people tomorrow at the new house, and Bebe is picking up the girls to have them spend the night with her.  The movers are coming on Saturday for a few hours and hopefully they will be able to get all the big stuff out of storage at least.  I can't wait to get moved and settled in!!!

On another note, Madi is trying to crawl.  She has been getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth.  She looks adorable, but I don't like it.  She is growing up too much too fast.

Family bowling

We had a family night bowling last night.  We heard they had little ramps and bumpers for the little ones and thought Kenzie would have fun!!  She had a blast!!  It was too cute watching her push it down the ramp and get so excited watching it roll down the lane!
It is obvious that Scotty and I are not pro bowlers, but Kenzie may be.  She beat us, beat us by a long shot!!!  Not that my score was anything to brag about....but I did beat Scotty!

We had a great time.  Definitely will be going back for some more family fun!!!

Pictures

I got the girl's pictures back that we took the other day.  They turned out super cute.

Weekend wrap up

Another weekend has come and gone.  The days seem to be flying by.  Friday we went out to eat at On the Border and Kenzie was so funny.  Last time we were there Kenzie saw a waitress walk by and started calling her "mermaid".  I knew right away what she was talking about.  She had short white hair and Kenzie thought she looked like Ursula, the sea witch.  She was our waitress Friday and Kenzie was beside herself. The waitress didn't know why she kept calling her mermaid, and thank goodness.  I don't think I would like being referred to as the big sea witch.  It was cracking us up.
To a 3 year old I can see where she thought that.  She is so funny!  We all went to bed early when we got home.  Saturday we went to Shannon's house to hang out.  Kenzie and Presley played so good together. Kenzie didn't want to quit playing when it was time to go.  When I pried her away we went to Bebe's house to visit her.  Kenzie ended up staying there and spent the night.  When I was leaving, she said "Mama you go bye bye and I stay here with Bebe, bye bye".  I guess she wanted me to leave!!!  Scotty worked late so me and Madi cuddled and went to bed.  This morning we slept in until 9:30, it was great.  We headed out to run some errands and got the bar stools for the new house and got our new kitchen table. We picked up Kenzie on the way home and her and Scotty went to the movies.  It was Kenzie's first movie to see at the theater.
Scotty said she did good but she didn't like the movie.  They went and saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I'm glad that we broke the ice and now we can take her to see more movies, a more girly movie next time.  While they were gone Madison and I went and ran some errands.  She rode in the buggy while I got groceries.
She liked it much better.  Madison has had a rash all weekend.  I'm not sure if it's a viral rash or that she is allergic to a food.  She acts fine, maybe a little more fussy than normal, but all in all fine.  Her tooth has broke through all the way.

Poor girl went to bed super early tonight--hopefully it won't be a super early morning!

I'm a dance mom

I've waited my whole life to be a dance mom!!  Kenzie started a ballet, tap and gymnastic combo class tonight!!  I picked her up from school and we went and picked Madi up and changed into her dance outfit there!!  She wasn't a fan of the tights at first.  When we got there and it was time to go in, she screamed and cried and I had to pass her off to the teacher.  By the time the door was closed, she was done and started stretching and twirling and dancing. There was one tiny window that we could peek in, but I had heard they are closing the curtains from here on out--boo.  There are 4 girls all together in the class and so far their moms are very nice!  We sat in the hallway and talked the whole time!! I was able to sneak a few pictures of Makenzie.  She came out so excited after class and said she wants to go back next week!!!

Kenzie....

I can't believe my sweet girl is 3.  I never got around to posting her 3 year update!!  One word to sum her up would have to be independent!!  She insist on doing every thing herself!!  She is also very head strong and opinionated!!  These are not bad qualities to have at all, and will come in handy for her later, but it is very difficult on her mommy and daddy now!!  She is also the sweetest, most loving and funny girl I know!!  She doesn't like seeing anyone sad and will rub your back and say "it's ok, don't be sad".   Whenever she sees a baby or animal, she will get so excited and say "awe, I hold um".  She is so tender hearted and sweet.   She has no problem admitting when shes done something shes not supposed to and will always say she's sorry!!  I'm impressed daily how well she shares and plays with others!!  I'm so proud of her for that!  She acts shy when she first meets skmeone, but give her a minute and sbe opens up!! Her teaches at school say she is the best in class and never causes any problems!!  I love hearing praises like that!!  She is a girly girl and likes to put on "whipstick" anytime I get my chapstick out!!

We basically stick to the same schedule daily.  She does better that way!!  I wake her up about 6 ' ish to start getting ready for the day!!  Sometimes she sneaks a snack in the car while we take Madi to school.  After we drop her off we always call Bebe to chat. She always ends the conversation with "have a good day". I walk her into her class and get her seated and then we kiss a million times and I head to work.  I normally get back to pick her up about 3:45 and we head to pick up Madison!!  The rest of the night is crammed in with playing, dinner of some sort, a bath and brushing teeth and then in bed about 7:15'ish to watch "her show", Mickey Mouse, and then it's night night time!! She sleeps all night--thank god!!

Kenzie is completely potty trained now and has been for a couple months!!  It is so nice to not have to worry about diapers anymore with her!!  She doesn't nap or sleep with a pull up anymore and has only had 1 accident at school during naptime!!  She picked it up so quickly and it really was a smooth transition!!

She is starting to pretend play with her toys and using her imagination!!  I love it!!  Her baby is always in "mime out" for doing sometbing!  Nomally she will say "my baby pushed her and she sit in mimi out now".  The other day we went to dinner with Scotty and he always asks her if she's going to pay.  This time she said yes and reached in her pocket and pulled out 4 cotton balls, that she had gotten from the doctor, and told our waitress, "no daddy pay me pay".  The waitress was nice enough to play along and went to "ring" her up and brought her back her cotton ball change!!  She was so proud of herself!!

I love her so very much!!  I'm so blessed to be her mommy!!!

Makenzie and Madison's check-ups

The girls had their check ups today after I got off work.  I can't believe Madison is 6 months old and Makenzie is 3 already.  It is crazy.  Makenzie went first and did very good.

She weighs 32 pounds and is 36 inches tall.  She didn't love getting her blood pressure taken but she sat still and let the nurse do it.  She got her hearing tested which she passed and also teetee'd in a cup which was normal as well!!

Madison was up next.  She weighed 15 pounds 7 ounces, which is 25-50%, and is 25.25 inches long, which is 25%.  Her head is  16.5 inches in the 25% and she is perfect.
The doctor did say we should go to the eye doctor and have her blocked tear duct looked at.  I'm going to get that scheduled soon.  Poor girl had to get 3 shots and one oral vaccine.  She cried so hard--it was so sad.

We went and got Makenze's ballet shoes when we left.  I can't wait to see her twirling around in them.  Afterwards we met daddy for dinner.
She was all about her daddy tonight.  We came home and all laid in bed together and watched cartoons.  Scotty fell asleep with Makenzie so I snuck out for a jog.  I'm really enjoying my nightly runs.  It is starting to get dark a little earlier now so I need to try and start my run a little earlier as well.

Weekend wrap up

Friday I picked the girls up and we came home and waited on daddy to come pick us up for dinner.  Kenzie played with Madi and made her laugh so much!!  That girl loves her big sister!!
Saturday morning we laid around and snuggled.  I love these kind of mornings the best.

Korie and Dallas came over not long after we woke up and we hung out for a little while and then did some shopping and had lunch!!

We picked up some stuff to make a fall craft and then came home and played for a little while and then called it a night.

Scotty and the girls came with me to run a few errands.  My favorite place right now to go is Kirklands.  I love going there and picking out stuff for the new house and getting decorating ideas.  And I am super excited to see all the fall and Christmas stuff out!!
I love watching Madison and Makenzie play together.  It is the sweetest thing ever.  Madison loves her so much and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual, even though Makenzie puts up a tough front!!!
Sunday I took the girls for another photo session.  My friend, Lisa, is starting to take pictures on the side and wanted to practice on the kiddos. I can't wait to see them because the few she showed me on her camera were adorable. Korie came over later and we did our scarecrow craft.  It was so much fun!!

They turned out super cute and were so fun to make!!  Scotty and Lance took the kids to the pool while we crafted.  He sent me this picture and said she was having so much fun!
When they got home I noticed Scotty's clothes were wet and Kenzie ran up and said she fell in the big pool again.  WTH?  They were playing on the steps and she walked right off the step again, in the same spot she did it last time.  Scotty had to jump in and grab her.  That girl is starting swim lessons ASAP.

Monday I signed Makenzie up for a dance class.  It's a ballet, tap and gymnastics combo class.  She got fitted for her tap shoes and looks adorable in them.  She thinks she is hot stuff in them too.

Bebe came over to visit us when she got off work.  Kenzie was so excited to see her.  She kept hugging her and saying "I miss you Bebe" and wouldn't let her out of her sight!  I love seeing how excited she is to see her Bebe.  I cooked us dinner and we tackled bath and bedtime and then she stayed with the girls while I went jogging.

It was a wonderful weekend and looking forward to a great and busy week!!
