Vacation Part 2

Tuesday morning we hit the beach early.  Landon stayed in the condo with Bebe and took a nap.  A big storm came and forced us to go back inside and get cleaned up for lunch.

We went to Fudpuckers.  Along with everyone else in Destin.  The wait was an hour and a half.  We went ahead and took our annual alligator family picture while we waited.

The guys went to the bar and came back with these HUGE margaritas and were quite proud of themselves.
After we ate lunch we went to the arcade and let the kids play some games.

We stopped to get some headlights on the way home so that we could hunt for crabs on the beach later.

We didn't find any stinking crabs.  The girls were tired and bored and wanted to go in so we called it a night.  The next morning we were back at the beach.  Landon came this time and we set him up a spot he could play and not have to get in the water.

That afternoon Scotty and Chris took Makenzie and Rylee deep see fishing.  The girls were so excited to go.  While they were gone the rest of us did some shopping.   We went to the harborwalk to meet them when they got off the boat.   The guys were so good about sending us pictures while they were gone.  The best one was of Rylee looking mad/scared while Kenzie is holding a beer in the background.

While they were gone Autumn and I were worried about what they were going to put all their fish in when they got back.  Autumn ran to a a little shop and bought them a cooler.  Scotty came back with the fish in the cooler and we all had to lean over to see the tiny little bag in the cooler.
OMG we laughed so hard.  It literally could have fit in the cup my beer was in.  In their defense the guys on the boat knew we were going to take it to get it cooked that night so they cut it up real good.  We took it to a restaurant on the harborwalk and they cooked their fish and we all ate dinner there.  It was delicious.  We walked around a little and then headed back to the condo.

Vacation Part 1

Sunday morning, early morning, 3 AM early, we headed out to Destin to spend a week at the beach with our besties.  Our thinking was that the kids would go back to sleep since it was so early and dark outside.  Nope, nobody went back to sleep.  We drove for a few hours and stopped for breakfast and coffee and to get out and stretch our legs.
The backseat crew did finally all fall asleep and slept for a good while.  It rained so hard on us the whole way.  That made for a very long drive.  I felt so bad for Scotty.  We ended up stopping for lunch and a few times for gas and finally made it around 6'ish.
Our condo was so nice.  Both families had a king bedroom and the girls had a room with bunk beds.  We set Landon's pack n play in our room and it worked out perfect.  That first night us girls went to the store and got some groceries and drinks for the week.  We picked up dinner and brought back to eat and called it an early night.  The next morning we were all so excited to get down to the beach.

Landon didn't love the beach and ended up falling asleep and sleeping the whole time we were there on Bebe.  I was able to get in the water and play with the girls.  Kenzie would have stayed in the water all day, but Madison was content just building sand castles and getting in just enough to rinse her hands and legs off.   We went back to the hotel and showered and got ready for lunch.  We decided to go to AJ's on the harborwalk.  Afterwards we walked around and let the kids do some activities.  Kenzie and Madison did the trampolines.  This was the first year Madison was able to do it and she was so excited.  (I can't find the pictures of her doing it)

We walked around and did some shopping and then went back home to relax and hang out. Look at the difference a year makes.

I can't believe I put that bird on my head.  I HATE birds.  The girls wanted me to and I was trying to be brave.  Landon's reaction was priceless.  He didn't like it either.  That night we sat at on the balcony and had some drinks and listened to music and had so much fun.

End of School festivities

Kenzie had her field day at school.  Bebe came over and watched the two little ones so I could go and hang out with her all day.  Daddy showed up and did a little hula hooping.

She got the Reese's Cup award for her class. The perfect combination of sweet and seriousness.  She had a really good year and ended with all A's.  She has worked so hard this year and I couldn't be more proud of her.

We found a new pool that we have been "sneaking" into.  We are always the only ones there and it is so nice and clean and has the perfect spot for Landon to play on and has a beach like entrance that the little girls like to play in.
I caught these 2 watching basketball together the other.  I see this happening a lot in the future.
We had a fun play date with a couple friends.  We went to Urban Air and let the kids run wild.

I took the girls to get a manicure and pedicure before we left for the beach.  They were so excited.
