Merry Christmas

The girls woke up so excited this morning.  They came squealing into our room, VERY early, excited that Santa had come.   We got up and started off our Christmas.

Scotty surprised me with a new car.  I couldn't believe it.  He did a really good job keeping this a secret.  I had no idea.

Kenzie's reaction when she opened her hatchimal was priceless.  She screamed and squealed and was so excited.

After all the presents were opened and somewhat picked up, we headed to Bebe and Papa's house for round 2.  We had a delicious lunch and exchanged presents.

I promise Madi was there with us today.  She  was so hard to get pictures of.  She was all over the place or had her back to me playing.   The girls ended up staying at Bebe and Papa's house to spend the night.  Scotty and I came home and picked up all the toys and trash and tried to organize things.  I also got in a long hot bath and had time to sit down and write 4 blog post.  As nice as it was, it was too quiet and I missed my babies.  We had an AMAZING Christmas this year.  Not only did everyone get spoiled with presents and things that they wanted, we got to spend quality time with family and friends and really celebrated the season.  I can't wait for next Christmas where we will have a sweet baby boy with us.

Christmas Eve

Saturday morning the girls woke up so excited that it was Christmas Eve.  Nick and Sally left them a note saying they were on the Nice list and some reindeer food to sprinkle out later that night.  We played games, cleaned up around the house, did some Christmas painting, made cookies for Santa and wrapped the last of the presents.  It was a wonderful day spent with my girls.  When daddy came home we took some pictures in front of the Christmas tree before heading to grandma and grandpa's house.

We celebrated with Scotty's family and had dinner.  The girls got to hold their baby cousin and Madi was so sweet and kept saying, "this is how I'm going to hold baby brother".  She kept rubbing her cheek on his head.  It was so cute.
That's the only picture I took all night.  Dinner was delicious and we had fun visiting with everyone.  We headed home to get ready for Santa to come.  The girls went outside and spread out the reindeer food and then set out the cookies for Santa.

The girls were exhausted and went to bed very excited for Christmas morning.  It is so fun seeing the magic of Christmas through their eyes.  It was a long night for Mommy and Daddy but oh so worth it.
We even caught Santa with my camera that was set up for Christmas morning.

29 weeks

29 weeks today!!  This week has been good!  We have been so busy with Christmas activities that I haven't gotten much rest!  My doctor had me start taking some iron tablets everyday for anemia that showed up on my blood work!  That has caused some upset tummy but other than that I have felt pretty good!
I need to go get some more maternity clothes!  The things I have now are getting a little tight!  These leggings I wore and the denim jacket are regular clothes but it was a tight squeeze!  I hate to buy a bunch of maternity clothes knowing I won't wear them for much longer, and then never again!
I have been waking up a lot more at night!  Bathroom breaks are about every 3 hours not to mention my hips ache all night from laying on my side!  I have also started to get night sweats which is pretty annoying too!  It's hard to imagine how close we are to meeting this sweet boy!

Christmas parties

Monday morning Kenzie woke up with a croupy/barky cough and not feeling good!  I made her an appointment at the doctor and thankfully she didn't have strep or flu!  Probably the same virus Madi had/has!  My poor babies!  We came back home to rest and Lysol the house!  Tuesday Madison went back to school and I got her first school picture!
She is too precious!  I had to work but was able to leave a little early to go to her Christmas party at school!
Daddy showed up for a little bit too!  The kids had snacks and treats and then played a few games!

It was a fun party!  We picked Kenzie up and headed home to play!
Wednesday, Kenzie had a half day at school and most of that was for her Christmas party!  Scotty was off and could go too!

Madi went too and the teacher and Kenzie's class were so sweet to her!

We were able to take her home after the party!  After we ate some lunch, we surprised them with going to the movies to see Sing!  It was really cute!

Later that night I had dinner with some friends and we did a gift exchange!  I haven't seen a few of them in awhile so it was fun to catch up!
It was a fun few days of Christmas parties!
