Never ending birthday

Makenzie had more presents to open tonight.  Mimi and papa had brought their gifts last night to Chuckee Cheese but she never saw them, so tonight she got to play with those.  They got her a cute easel that has a chalk board and white board with lots of accessories.  They also got her an awesome water table.  We went outside and she played for a long time on it.  She loves it.

We came inside and ate dinner.  This was a battle.  She is not understanding that she has to stay in her little seat at her table.  She takes a bite and gets up and runs around, or will grab a handful of foot and bring it into the living room.  I think we are going to have to put our table back in the dining room or get a little pub table to put in the corner.  After dinner we went outside and waited on daddy to come home.

Silly girl.  She got to open her last two presents from mommy and daddy when we came inside.  She got a giant potato head filled with lots of smaller potato heads and all their parts, and a baby highchair with food and a bottle to feed her babies.
I think the birthday celebration officially ended tonight.  She is such a sweet girl, I love her so much!

12 Weeks

How Far Along: 12 weeks  (I know, it seems like I skipped week 11.  When I went to the Dr. last Thursday, my sono put me ahead 4 days which makes my new week start on Tuesdays.  So I just missed doing my 11 week board.  But that makes me 4 days closer to meeting this sweet baby so I'll take it)

Size of baby: Baby is the size of a peach. About .81oz and 3 inches long.  Baby had a major growth spurt.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: -1  The scale at the Dr had me down 5 pounds from my first visit and down 1 pound since my last appt.  He said most likely because I had been sick for 2 weeks (but not to worry because I have enough weight to support the baby--thanks Doc)  He said since I go about the same time to each appointment that his weight will be the official weight.

Maternity Clothes: I'm wearing all my normal clothes still. Things are definitely getting tighter though.  I have a few sweet friends that let me borrow some maternity clothes and it's just about time to get them out!!

Gender: We can't wait to find out!

Movement: Not yet, but I can't wait to feel those kicks

Sleep: I have been sleeping all through the night.  It's awesome!

What I miss: This week I miss Motrin.  I was so sore yesterday and today from jumping and climbing in the bounce house at Makenzie's birthday party.  Tylenol is not my drug of choice.

Cravings: Sonic or Chicken express ice....I have Makenzie hooked on it

Best Moment This Week: Going to the doctor last week and getting to see the baby.  Since I had been sick the entire time since my last appointment, I was kind of nervous.

Happy Birthday Makenzie

Happy Birthday to the sweetest, funniest, smartest, cutest 2 year old I know.  I love her more than words could ever describe.  My life was forever changed the day I looked into her eyes.  She was a trouble maker right from the start, staying in the NICU for 5 days.  She has blessed my life in so many ways, and I thank God everyday for letting me be her mommy.

Kenzie took cupcakes with her to school today to give to her friends.  Her teacher said she got so shy when they sang happy birthday to her.  I picked her up and we headed to Chuckee Cheese to keep on celebrating.  Mimi and papa, Laura and Bella, and Korie and Dallas met us there too.  She had so much fun running around and putting her "money" in the machines.  She would ask for money, put it in the game and then take off running.  Crazy girl.

She had such a good time.  I was secretly hoping she would not like the place so we wouldn't EVER have to go again, but she loved it.  I see many more trips to good old Chuckee.

Birthday party

Today was my sweet baby's birthday party!!  I can't believe she is going to be 2 tomorrow.  I woke her up early this morning with hopes that I could get her to take a cat nap before we left for her party.  Ha, jokes on me.
She played in her crib the whole time she was in there, so I finally just got her out.  I guess she was too excited to sleep.

We picked up the pizza on the way to the party and made our way to Moon Jumpers.  It ended up being further out than I thought, but we all had so much fun!!! Kenzie had a blast and ran around the whole time.  All the kiddos played and played.  It was such a great place to just let them run wild and have fun.  And as a bonus, I didn't have to clean up, or set up, or do anything--it was great!

She didn't want to leave her party
She passed out as soon as we got in the car.  I thought she would sleep if I carried her into her bed, but she woke right up.  Stinker.  We headed down to Korie's house and the guys cooked out fajitas while the kiddos played!!!

She got to have another cupcake and played with Dallas.  It was a wonderful day and I can't wait to keep celebrating her birthday tomorrow!!

Birthday Weekend

My sweet Kenzie girl is sick for her birthday weekend.  Thursday night she was pretty mopey and just laid on me all night and a few times said her tummy hurt.  Then Friday morning she kept saying her ear hurt the whole way to school.  I went ahead and made an appt to have her ears looked at (only because her birthday party is this weekend, otherwise I probably would have watched her for a few days).  Scotty brought her in for her appointment--STREP!!  I canceled her tonsil surgery last week because she had been doing so well.  I guess we jinx'ed ourselves.  Her ENT said if she got it again to call back and get her on the books again.  She got her meds started right away and will be good to go for her birthday party--and not contagious.
I came home with her and cleaned house while she napped.  Korie and Shannon and their kiddos came by later in the afternoon--they were forewarned about the strep.  We hung out and then went and ate dinner.  It was Kenzie's first time in a big girl chair (they were out of high chairs).  She did good and ate really well.
This morning we have been running around like crazy.  I decided to do some purging around the house and listed a bunch of stuff on the facebook garage sale sites.  I ended up selling all of it and scheduled pick up's for this morning.  We left the house at 9:30 and didn't get back home until 12:45.  Kenzie did really good for not feeling good and sitting in her carseat that long.  (I may or may not have bought another stroller off a facebook site while we were out.  It was a really good deal)  We also had to run a few errands to take some stuff back.  While we were in Charming Charlie, I ran into a sweet blog friend.  It was nice to meet her in person.  It's so funny to be so connected to someone just by reading their blog.  And be able to recognize someone you've never actually met before.

I have to get everything packed up and loaded in the car for her party tomorrow.  I'm so excited for her birthday party!! She's such a sweet girl!!

What a week

I'm exhausted and still have one more day to go!  And my weekend is just as busy!!!

Monday I woke up with my jaw hurting so bad I could barely talk and eat! I had one of my dr's look at it and she thought it was my ear pressure causing the pain because it looked swollen! I have it a day or two and then made an appt with the dentist, and then of course it started feeling better! I canceled my appt to give it another day and then see! This morning it feels much better and can only feel a tinge of pain when I eat! So weird and not exactly sure what's going on!

My phone broke on Tuesday! Just died and wouldn't turn back on! I took Makenzie to Bebe's house and Scotty met me there so we could go to the Apple store! They didn't have any appointments until next week but said we could come be a walk in! We were able to eat dinner and then go back at 8:30 and it took about 30 seconds for them to get me a new phone!! Thank The Lord!!! We picked Makenzie up and headed home! She had been asleep at my moms house and I was worried she wouldn't go back to sleep when we got home but thankfully she did! Bebe put her in one of Papa's shirts to sleep in and the next morning she didn't want to take it off! She kept saying Papa's shirt!
Scotty put it on too to be funny! He couldn't believe my dad wore such a small shirt but I had to remind him that it didn't fit like that on him--ahem!

Yesterday I found a bed for Kenzie! The lady's house is not far from my work so I went by after work to look at it and make sure I liked it before I drove in his truck to get it! I think it's perfect and will pick it up on Monday! I'm so excited to have everything ready for her room, now its time to paint!!!

Today I had my OB appt! When I got here they surprised me with a sono!
I thought we would just hear it on the Doppler! The baby looks so much bigger than the last sono only 4 weeks ago!
I got to hear the heartbeat which was 168. I asked the sonographer if it sounded like a boy, but she said no it sounds like a girl--but what do those sonographers know anyways!!!  (Kidding) We would be happy with either a girl or a boy, just healthy!!! My doctor moved my due date to Feb 11th now and said I'm 11 weeks 2 days!!!

Tonight I have someone coming out to give us an estimate on having some work done in our master bathroom! I can't wait to get that project moving along and done!!!

I finished all Makenzie's birthday party stuff! After getting a final head count I had to go back and get more goody bag treats and more cupcakes--more kiddos than I thought! I can't wait-the more the merrier!  I'm so excited for her birthday party but sad that my baby is turning 2!

A little sneak peak of pictures from Sunday!!!  I LOVE them! This is one of my favorite sessions!!
I asked for this one in color too!
I love how sweet this picture is! She doesn't have a care in the world holding her daddy's hand!!!
She also caught some funny ones.....
I have a crying picture at every session that we have done! She's a mess! (My favorite was from her 1 year session)
Bless her heart! She was so sad and looks so defeated! And little--look at my baby!!!
Look how bored Makenzie looks and how over it Scotty looks! Not me--I'm ready!!!!

Family Pictures

I've been preparing for these pictures for weeks.  I had everything ironed and packed in the car. I got everyone awake and out the door on time.  We stopped and got some balloons and a cupcake.  We were one big happy family.....and then....
Siri got us lost.  It's not totally her fault.  Every highway we needed to take was under construction and we kept having to be redirected, which takes a few seconds and by the time we redirected we were lost.  This happened about 5 times.  Finally we pulled over and called Tamera (the photographer) and told her to help us.  Turns out we were just a few streets away and finally made it, but not before my grumpy husband was mad because we got "lost" and Makenzie cried the entire way and wanted me to hold stuff but then wanted it back, wanted snacks but then didn't, needed all her boo boo's kissed and just not happy.
Pictures went really well.  It was super hot but Scotty and Makenzie cooperated.  We packed up and headed home and made it with no issues.  I guess Siri knew she would be thrown out the window if she gave us one wrong turn.  We stopped for lunch at Primos and then came home for Kenzie to nap. Scotty and I cleaned the garage-again! I don't know how I can clean the garage all the time and it keeps filling back up--oh yeah, I have a hoarding problem (we have 7 stroller seats because I can't decide which one I want yet).  Scotty took some stuff to storage (and brought a couple totes back that I asked him to look for).
The rest of the day was spent playing and hanging out.  Kenzie loves to play and wrestle with her daddy.  She is so rough with him and she loves every second of it.
