Back to reality

Madison was so excited to see her sister on Sunday when we got home.  She would break her neck to turn around to follow her.  It is so sweet to see how much she loves her, and Kenzie is so good with her.
They played all afternoon together while I got back to the laundry and cleaning.  Scotty and I started working on the "middle" room, as we call it.

Monday I picked the girls up and we went to the park to play.  The weather was perfect.  It is starting to cool off a little.

We had a great time.  After dinner we went back outside to play some more.  Kenzie really likes riding her tricycle and is getting pretty fast.  Madi and I sat on a blanket and watched her.

Today I had to drop off my clothes that I am consigning to the Just Between Friends.  It looks amazing and I can't wait to shop tomorrow.  I picked up Kenzie and we went to get her hair cut.  She got a lot cut off and it looks better.  I almost wish I had taken off even more to sit on top of her shoulders.

Tomorrow Korie and Shannon and I get to shop at the Just Between Friends sale early.  This is my favorite sale of the year and I can't wait!!!

Our glamping trip to Jellystone

Friday after work, Leslie and her girls picked up Makenzie and I and we headed out to "camp" at Jellystone National Park.  We rented a cabin for the weekend.
The girls watched Shooka Shooka, aka Frozen, on the way up there.   Our cabin was so cute.  We had a big kind size bed and 2 sets of bunk beds.

We got everything unloaded from the car and changed into our bathing suits and went downstairs to swim.  Leslie's twin daughters, Sara and Emma, are so cute.  They played with Makenzie all weekend and she loved getting to play with the big girls.

I was walking around in the little pool with Kenzie when she said I had a buggie in my hair "I get it mama".  I thought she was playing until she screamed bloody murder and started freaking out, which caused me to freak out and started flipping my head around.  A HUGE spider flew off and landed in the pool.  She wasn't kidding after all.  After that, I was DONE.  We went back to our room and had a junk food slumber party!!!  The girls had so much fun. Kenzie loved being on the top bunk with the big girls!!!

Saturday morning we woke up and headed to Pirates Cove, the waterpark they have there.  On the way we stopped to take pictures with BooBoo the bear.  Kenzie was not a fan.

When we walked in the girls saw a huge play area to climb on and ran to do that first.  Leslie and I went with them.  I'm definitely too big and too old to do that kind of stuff anymore.

They had so much fun, but the look on their face when they saw the water park and took off running was priceless.

I was so impressed with Kenzie.  She went down a lot of slides all by herself.  She ran all over the place.  The ladybug floatie she is wearing is a life saver.  She would go from the pool to the slides, to the sprinkler pad, back to the pool, down more slides.....she loved it.  We stayed a few hours and ate lunch there and went back to the cabin to change clothes and get ready for the night.  We took them back to the play area and let them run out some more energy and then headed to the Bear's Den for a horse and rope trick show.  It was neat.

The big girls got to go up for a demonstration and then they all got to pet the horse afterwards.  Afterwards we went back inside and painted ceramic figures.  Kenzie picked a pig and I painted an elephant.

And then she decided she liked loved Yogi, or oogie, the bear.

I couldn't keep her away from Yogi.  She kept running up for high fives and hugs.  We had some time to kill before our firetruck ride so we went to the park to play.  Kenzie stayed on the swings the whole time.  It was so nice to have swing pushers.

Next up was a ride on top of a firetruck.  We saw them doing it the night before but got in too late to do it so they were really excited.  Yogi walked by and Makenzie took off running to him and kept going back for more......Yogi hog.  The firetruck ride was fun.  It drove us all over the camp site with lights and sirens on.

The kids were winding down from their busy day so we went back to the room and swam for a little bit.  We were all freezing so we didn't stay long. (and I was paranoid about bugs)  We went back to the room for more late night junk food and then snuggled up for bed.

We loaded up the next morning and headed home.  We stopped for breakfast and I fell asleep for the rest of the ride home....oops.

I had so much fun this weekend with the girls.  It is so nice to be able to have one on one time with Makenzie too.  I loved seeing her so happy and running around playing.  She says the funniest things and had me cracking up all weekend.
