Galveston Day 1

We headed for Galveston as soon as Scotty got off work Saturday.  We got there around 2am and went straight to bed.  The next morning we up bright and early and headed to the beach.  The kids were so excited that there were shells everywhere.  They spent most of their time collecting shells.  When we were at the Destin beaches they didn't find any shells so this was a big surprise for them.

We headed back to the hotel to take showers and get ready for a late lunch.  We went to a little pizza place and then got some ice cream next door.  Afterwards, Scotty took the girls down to the pool while Landon and I took a nap.  When he woke up we got ready and went down to the pool with them for about an hour.  We went to dinner at Scotty's favorite place, Fish Tales and then walked across the street to the Pier to ride some rides. I ended up staying with the littles while Makenzie and Scotty rode the bigger rides.  Madison wanted to ride the merry go round first.  Landon wanted nothing to do with it and I couldn't get his legs pried open to get him to sit on it.  The second time around I did get him to sit on a horse but he was mad.  I had my arm around him and he kept checking to make sure my arm was there.  Once the ride started he decided he liked it and grabbed my arm and threw it off him.  Little stinker.
Madison is a little dare devil and wanted to ride everything she was tall enough to ride.  Landon rode a jeep ride over and over again.

I didn't get any pictures of Makenzie since she was with Scotty but she had a blast riding all the big rides.  We got back to the hotel around midnight and went straight to bed.  I stayed up until everyone was asleep and then got things ready for Makenzie's birthday the next morning.

All caught up

The girls are having a great t-ball/softball season.  Kenzie is loving it and is playing really well.  She got to play catcher in her last game but that position isn't her favorite.  Madison made 2 really good stops in her game and was so proud of herself.  By the end of the game though she was OVER it.

That afternoon we went to the pool to cool off after the games.  We stayed a few hours and then Landon was ready for his nap.  He started off laying in my lap and then flipped so I could tickle his feet.  The next thing I knew he was asleep.

Sunday I took the girls to see The Lion King after church.  We all thought it  was so good.  That afternoon we did a little furniture shopping and then went out to dinner.
I spent this past week packing and purging things.  I found Landon asleep on Kenzie and snapped a picture before packing some more.  When I came back Makenzie was asleep.  These two are so sweet together

That night Makenzie wanted to change Landon's diaper and get him ready for bed.  Landon thought it was hilarious and made her work extra hard.

In the afternoons when it isn't scorching hot we play outside with all the neighbor kids.  Landon and his buddy love riding around in all the cars.
The girls have been doing a good job at going through their things and picking out things they want to donate and things they want to keep.  When I came in to check on them I saw them packing up their brother.
Landon will always climb up in our laps and stick his feet in our face and say "tickle me".  He did it to Kenzie which of course she tickled him.  Madison decided to do the same to him and they had a little tickle train.
Makenzie had a play date at her friends house Friday afternoon.  Afterwards the kids all spent the night with Bebe and Papa.  This worked out great for me.  I went to Target ALONE and took my time, then went on a 5 mile walk with Autumn and then came home and packed some boxes.
We spent Saturday packing things to move, and packing things to head to the beach.  Scotty surprised us with a fun quick trip to Galveston for a few days to celebrate Kenzie's birthday.

A little catch up

The weather here in July has been "cooler" than normal but still so HOT.  Bubs loves bringing his fan and sprayer to t-ball/softball practice.  Poor guy has to walk back and forth between the girls practice with me.  I'm glad they are on the same night at the same time so we can knock it out, but we do spend the evening walking back and forth between the two fields all night.
Our house is getting so close to being finished.  We have our first walk through scheduled for August 7th and will hopefully close shortly after that.  I have started packing things and the kids love playing in the boxes.
The girls had games at the same time on opposite sides of the Y.  Scotty stayed with Makenzie and I went and watched Madi play.  We stopped off to say hi to Reid before her game.  Makenzie played a great game and got the game ball afterwards.  I'm so proud of her.

Bebe was out of town visiting her brothers, but Papa came over to hang out and play with Bubba during the games.  They had a great time.
That night we had a birthday party to go to for the kids across the street.  Bubs had the most fun playing with the confetti balloons.  After the party everyone went to the pool to swim.  We stayed way past their bedtime and they loved getting to swim in the dark.

Makenzie had volleyball camp all week at the high school.  She went with a couple of friends and they had so much fun.  Madison went to gymnastic camp with some friends and had a blast.
That's my girl in the green shirt making the save
Bubs is very snugly but rarely falls asleep in my lap.  He must have been worn out because he climbed up in my lap and went straight to sleep.  I loved it and stayed there for awhile before carrying him to bed.
That week we had a meeting with our builder at the house regarding our driveway.  Landon tagged along while the girls were at camp.  He helped measure things too.
This kid is always "humfy".  When he wakes up in the morning it is the first thing he says.  I hear "I'm humfy" a million times a day.  And if it's not that, it's "I want a snack".  I was folding clothes and came into the kitchen to put away dish towels and found him eating cold macaroni out of the container.  He got it out himself and a spoon and was so proud of himself.
The kids are obsessed with The Face app and the snap chat filters.  My sweet little old babies.

Sunday funday

Sunday morning we started our day off with church.  We really like the new church we have been going to.  Afterwards Scotty took the girls to Shenanigans to play for awhile. Landon and I took a nap and cleaned up a little and decided to go have our own date.  I took him to get a snow cone and we had the best time.
Scotty isn't the best at taking pictures and this is the only one he sent me.  Makenzie was big enough this time to drive the go kart by herself and was so excited.  Scotty said she did really good.
We met up for dinner afterwards.  Even though we weren't all together all day it was a nice family day getting to spend a little more "one on one" with the kids.

Happy 4th of July

Thursday was the 4th of July.  We started our day off with a parade in our town.  Rylee was on a float for her cheerleading so it was fun to cheer for her when we saw her.

Landon had the parade candy collecting down.  He would run and grab every sucker he could find and then would unwrap and eat them all.

We went home for lunch and then got ready to go swimming.   One of our friends was out of town and let us come over and use their pool.  I can't wait to have my own pool in my backyard!  We swam until dinner and then headed back to Autumn's house and Scotty brought home dinner.  We decided to do something new this year.  We went over to some empty lots where we are building and had the perfect view of several big firework shows and we were able to do some of our own too.
