Bebe's Birthday and bike riding

We celebrated Bebe's birthday.  We met her and Papa and their friends Sharon and Frank at Olive Garden for dinner.

I love how much my kids love her and her love for them is so special to me.  She truly is my best friend and I couldn't have asked for a better mom, and Bebe.   That weekend we went and celebrated some more with dinner at MiCocina and then out for some Bingo.
I took the kids to Sweet Frog after school one day.  They were so excited.

Madison has been begging us to take her and practice riding her bike with no training wheels.  We finally had a semi nice day weather wise and loaded up to the park.  She was so excited and did pretty good.

Poor Scotty ran up and down the parking lot so many times bent over holding her seat.  I tried to help but she said she like the way daddy did it better and she wouldn't let me.  I ordered a handle that sticks out behind her seat that we can hold next time and not have to bend over and run--it was brutal. We played at the park before heading home.

Gymnastics and Basketball

We took the girls to a new place that opened to try it out before they had to go back to school.  They had so much fun and we will definitely be back!

Both girls started gymnastics.  Madison goes during the day and it's just her and her friend Paislee in the class.  She loves it so much!  Makenzie did a trial class on Thursday after school and had so much fun so we signed her up too.
Makenzie also started playing basketball and LOVES it.  I wasn't expecting her to like it as much as she does, or be as aggressive as she is.  She is my sweet and timid one and I didn't expect her to get in and steal the ball as much as she did.  I love watching her play.

Roadtrip

We started 2019 off with a trip to the hill country to visit my uncles.  We picked Bebe up bright and early and started out road trip.  The kids did really good for the long drive.  My Aunt Jess made a delicious New Year's Day dinner that night that was amazing.  The next day my Uncle Jim took the kids, and then Bebe too, out on the 4 wheeler.  The kids loved it.
That night we met my Uncle Jerry and his family for dinner.  The kids got to visit and play with their cousin Teagan.
We spent the rest of our time playing outside and we also did some shopping.

I was so ready to get home and sleep in my bed.  I spent 3 night snuggled up to this little "angel" who tossed and turned and kicked and punched me all night.
It was a fun quick trip.

New Year's Eve

The days after Christmas were long and lazy.  We all caught a little cold so we spent most of our time playing games or lounging around watching movies.  The Hogan's went out of town and we babysat their sweet dog Brownie.  The kids did so well with him and now want a dog more than ever.

The Sunday after Christmas we met my brother and his family to celebrate Christmas with them and have lunch.  It's always fun to catch up with them.
We also had Christmas with Amber and her kids, Korie and Dallas (which I didn't get a picture of) and then the Hogans when they came home.

We celebrated New Year's eve with the Hogans.  We were there pretty much all day.  The dads didn't get off work until 9 and everyone was pretty tired already by then.  It was a low key night of lots of snacks and games and just enjoying each others company.  We did go outside to do some sparklers.

2019 was a great year for our family.  We signed papers to build a new house, sold our old house, spent quality time with our family and friends, and made new friends.  I love my family so much and can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for us.

Extra Christmas pictures

I found a few other Christmas pictures on my camera that I wanted to post.  The Christmas Eve pictures of the kids came out cuter from my real camera.
Christmas morning pics of Madison and Landon

When we went to my parents house Scotty surprised me with a beautiful sliding barn door for the new house.  I LOVE it so much.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning came very early.  The girls were so excited to get in there start looking at all their stuff.  We got bubba up, who immediately ran and jumped in his dump truck.  Some of these pictures are from my phone and some are from my camera that was set up on a tripod, so they may be out of order a little.

Kenzie has the best expressions when she opens her gifts.  She thinks/acts like each one was is the best thing she has every seen.

After we cleaned up a little and ate some breakfast, we got dressed and ready to go celebrate with Bebe and Papa.

We had a yummy Mexican lunch and stayed and visited for a while and then came home to play with all our new stuff.   We had the best day celebrating with each other and family.  It was an early bedtime for all of us that night!!
