Basketball

The girls both started basketball and had their first games.  Kenzie played first and did really well.  The skill level has increased and the girls need to get more aggressive, which isn't in Kenzie's nature.
I didn't get to take any pictures of her playing because Landon had my phone playing games.  She did really good and had fun.  She says she wants to play basketball in college.  Madison had a game later in the afternoon.  Makenzie and Landon went to Autumn's house to play and I took Madi.  She loved having all my attention.  She did really well and was pretty aggressive going for the ball.  She looks so tiny compared to the other girls.

I was so proud of her.  She said she had so much fun when the game was over.  She may be tiny but she sure does have a big personality and is feisty.  I loved watching her play.

Starting the New Year

As the new year begins and I see everyone making resolutions, I decided I wanted to have a word for my year.  I picked intentional.  I think this will be easier to stick to and I feel like being intentional will apply to many aspects.  Intentional in my marriage, parenting, friendships, fitness, religion, and so on.  I'm looking forward to 2020 and what is has to bring.

We started the new year off by making box rocket ships.  This kept them busy for hours.
Madison had a slumber party with Paislee while Rylee spent the night over here with Kenzie.  Somehow Madison ended up talking them into getting her birthday present early.  It was a skateboard and she was so excited.

I love our cul-de-sac so much.  All the kids play outside from sun up to dinner time.  There are 30 kids between just the 10 houses on our street.
Kenzie was so proud of herself blowing a bubble.  She specifically asked me to take a picture so she could see in in my blog book later.
We met Scotty for dinner after work one night and Landon fell asleep in the car on the way.  He stayed asleep while I carried him in and laid on the bench asleep for our whole dinner.  It was so nice.  We did have to stop and get him a happy meal on the way home but at least we got to eat in peace.
Landon noticed a bunch of boys outside fighting with saber swords.  He ran inside and grabbed his sword and the big boys were so sweet to him and let him play.  He had no idea what they were doing and kept wacking them instead of their swords but had the time of his life.

The pool company came out and marked the pool and the next day they started digging.  Landon was so excited watching the big tractors.

They had it dug and framed in 2 days.  It was crazy how fast it went.  Landon went tee tee in the potty at school so I took him to get an ice cream to celebrate.  He is resisting potty training big time.
By the end of the next day the pool had been rebarred and ready for the gunnite to be poured.
I went to a moms event at church with Autumn and Heidi (and about a couple other hundred friends too).  It was really good and I'm glad we went.
January was off to a fun busy start.
