I hate the mornings where I frantically wake up to see its sunny in my room, normally pitch black--and realize its seven freaking thirty! We are normally out the door by 7. I'm running around brushing my teeth while getting dressed! And of course I didn't get our lunches ready last night like I normally do!!! Horrible start to the my day!! On the flip side, my sweet girl had her check up today, so Scotty brought her to my work! She weighs 23 pounds 11 ounces, 32 inches long and her head is 18 inches around!! That puts her in the 25-50% for weight, 50-75% on length and 25% on her head--all around PERFECT! I had to poke her toe and check her iron level--13.4--perfect! It had been low at her 12 month check up, but she's eating better now!! She did great! Let the doctor look her over real good! She's not worried about her not talking, so I'm not going to either!!! She definitely brightened my day!!

18 months
My sweet girl is 18 months today! I can't believe it!! I need for time to freeze! She is such a sweetheart and keeps me laughing all the time! Her checkup is tomorrow, so I'll post all her stats then!! I want to jot down a few things so I can remember them later!!
Schedule: She wakes up around 6:45 during the week and daddy gets her dressed for the day while I'm getting ready for work! I drop her off at the baby sitters about 7:10'ish and head to work! I pick her up about 6'ish and we head home and get dinner ready, then it's bath, brushing teeth and in bed about 7:30'ish!
On the weekends, we let her sleep until she wakes on her own, which is about 7:30-8. She'll take a nap after lunch from about 12:30-3:00, and then down for the night about 8'ish!
Food: This can be a battle for us! Breakfast is usually easy--eggs, French toast sticks(with syrup of course), muffins, toaster struddle(sausage and egg)--just about anything! Lunch and dinner are another story! The babysitter, Jennifer, says she gets her to eat anything I send---not sure how she does this, unless Makenzie just plays me at home(which is highly likely). I normally send leftovers or TV dinners(yes I'm THAT mom), lunchables, or anything I can find! I always send a fruit--she LOVES anything fruit! Dinner is a beating! Seriously! I have started "bribing"--take a bite of chicken and mommy will give you a noodle(maccoroni--its her favorite and works miracles)--and no-I am not above bribing!! I always have a vegetable and then also normally bribe with frozen blueberries--they are like crack for her!! She has a sippy cup of milk in the morning and before bed, and one sippy of half juice/half water during the day and then refilled with water!
Makenzie LOVES babies, and just started saying bah-bee! The cutest little voice ever! She has a million babies and will bring them to you one by one over and over! She kisses them and pushes them in the stroller! She also loves balls! She chunks them everywhere, BACKWARDS. Do not be behind her when she's throwing balls, you will get knocked out! It's the funniest thing ever! She throws with her left hand and just slings it behind her!
We have started being really good about brushing her teeth! I do it every night, and on the weekends in the morning too! She opens up and sticks her tongue out, right in my way, and says "ahhh" and let's me get a good brushing in! I let her do it a few times in between my turn!
I don't know if she is saving her voice for later, but the girl just won't talk! She understands EVERYTHING, things I didn't know she knew! One day, I told her to take a dryer sheet to the trash for me(just to get her to walk away so I could actually fold the laundry real fast) and she picked it up and walked herself in the kitchen and lifted up the trash lid and threw it away!! I was so proud! So of course I had to get the video camera and another dryer sheet and have her do it again! Now, we have to watch her--she loves taking things to the trash! She will pick up and bring to us anything we ask! She will say:
Mama, dada, ball, baby, shoes, more and kirbydog! That's it! She will very rarely repeat words that we say! I've heard, papa, momo, bath, cheese and maybe a few others! I'm sure when she starts really talking we'll be wishing she had waited a little longer!! (but I can't wait to hear that sweet voice more)
Makenzie has about a million facial expressions! You can totally read her by her expression(mom tells me not to let her know I know this and I can use it to my advantage later)! She opens her eyes real wide and makes her mouth look like an O if she's doing something she's not supposed to! If I get on to her she will open her mouth real wide with a look of surprise and hold it for a long time--like she can't believe I just got onto her! She side-eyes people non stop! She will give a half smile with huge dimples and turn her head away but still look at you out of the corner of her eyes! I LOVE it!!
She is the sweetest thing! Loves to give kisses and hugs! If I pretend to cry and cover my face she will start to whimper and move my hands! She loves to come crawl in our laps and read books(again, over and over).
I don't have enough time or blog space to describe just how sweet she is! I love her more than I ever even thought I could love something! She is my heart and soul and I look forward to everyday I have with her!!
(my computer is in the shop still, so my good pictures will get out up later)

Babies and IV's
Makenzie is the sweetest little mommy! She loves her babies! She got a new baby for the bathtub, and she loves it! She holds her and washes her! And she found all her body parts I asked for! It's the cutest thing to see her with her babies! She just recently started saying "baby" in the sweetest little voice I've ever heard, and loves giving them kisses!!
I also had a minor surgery today! Scotty was amazing and stayed with me and drove me home!!! The dang IV was almost the worst part!!! I'm hoping for a smooth recovery and praying the little one goes easy on me for the next few days'.

Virus....again
Well, my computer is sick with a virus....again! So I'm down to my iPhone pics for a few days!!!
We have gotten into a really good habit of brushing teeth every night, (I know I know we need to do in the morning too, but we are so rushed in the mornings) She lets me get a good brushing in and then I let her brush for a minute, so she thinks she's doing something!!!

A wonderful weekend
We had a wonderful weekend! Saturday we went to a few garage sales, but didn't find anything good!! Mimi helped me bring in Makenzie's kitchen that I had bought a few weeks ago! We weren't real sure where to put it! Our house has been taken over by baby stuff! Definitely need a bigger house! We ended up putting it in the entry way(for now). She loves it! Played in there all afternoon!! She does a pretty good job at keeping the food and accessories in the kitchen and not all over the house! Today, the weather is amazing, so we decided to have brunch at Primos on the patio! Makenzie did good and actually ate with us and colored! It's always a good outing when we can all stay at the table together and we don't have to take shifts with her outside while the other one eats!! We stopped off at the park on the way home! She ran all over the place and had a blast sliding and swinging! It's nap time now, so I'm going to take advantage and do some cleaning while I can!!

Mimi stays the night
Today we came home and played on the swing set!!! Kenzie had a blast!! We got it back in October, but she hasn't gotten to play on it much due to it being cold and dark when we get home! She is finally big enough to climb up on it and actually PLAY on it!!! She loved it!!! Afterwards Mimi came over and we went to Hobby Lobby and Target!!! We had a Taco Bell picnic in the car, after a massive tantrum from being hungry and tired! Came home and skyped with Aunt Jess and Uncle Jim!!! It was a great afternoon and a great start to the weekend!!

Little mommy
Makenzie LOVES her babies! She got a stroller for Christmas and has tons of babies! She will carry them around and push them in her stroller! She is such a good little mommy! I played with baby dolls when I was her age and I'm so happy an excited that she loves them too!!
Happy Birthday MiMi
Today is my mom's birthday!!! Happy Happy Birthday to the best mom in the whole world. She is my rock, and my best friend. She really is the best mom. I hope I can be half the mother to my kids that she is to me. Last night Scotty, Makenzie and I met mom, dad, and Travis at MiCocina to celebrate. Poor Makenzie wasn't feeling it. She just wanted to be held the whole time. And CRYING!!! Whew there was crying. We had to alternate taking her to the lobby so our fellow eaters could eat in peace. Nevertheless.....it was a wonderful evening spent with my family! I love moments like these!!!
Happy Birthday Mom!!!

I have decided to venture out into the blogging world. I love reading other peoples blogs, and feel like this will be a great way to keep up with my families everyday life, and will be fun to look back on later. The next few weeks I'll be navigating and learning my way through blogger. I want to get a cute background and get everything customized and looking good!!! This is a whole new world for me and I see lots of work ahead of me to get up and running!!!!
