Galveston Day 2

Monday morning we woke up to an 8 year old.  I can't even believe my baby is 8.  She has the sweetest soul ever and we just love her to pieces. She woke up to outer space cookies, presents, balloons and a few decorations.  We convinced her to let us go to the beach before she opened presents.

We stayed at the beach for a few hours and had snow cones before we went upstairs to take showers and get ready for lunch.  We couldn't stall her any longer so we let her open her presents.  She is really into space right now and pretty much knows any fact about any planet.  Most of her presents were space related and she was so excited.  We went to The Rainforest Cafe for lunch.

After lunch we went back to the hotel and Scotty took the girls down to the pool to swim.  Landon laid down for a nap.  I packed up the hotel room and got us ready to leave the next morning.  We headed out for a late dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.  They sang happy birthday to Kenzie again.  She was loving all the extra attention.

Scotty had to be at work at 12 on Tuesday so we were up and on the road by 5:45am.  The kids did really good on the drive home and I ended up sleeping almost the whole way which was great!!  We had such a fun family trip.  And most importantly we got to celebrate my baby girl's 8th birthday.
