Family Vacation Part 1

We made it to Galveston and we are having so much fun!!!  I almost didn't think we were going to be able to go due to Madi being so sick.  She was having major diarrhea and quit eating and was just laying around.  She perked up a little on Tuesday night but I still took her to the doctor on Wednesday just to have her checked out before we left.  She had lost almost a pound from all the diarrhea.  Poor girl.  She seemed to have turned the corner though and was acting better and starting to eat again.  We got the ok to go on vacation and just keep a close eye on her.   We left Wednesday after I got off work and headed to Galveston.
We had to stop for a few potty breaks but all in all it was a great ride down and we made it to the hotel about 10 and got all settled in and headed to sleep.

Thursday morning we woke up bright and early and met Bebe and Papa for breakfast and then caught the ferry to Crystal Beach where we set up.  We went to the top of the ferry and saw lots of dolphins swimming and jumping in the water.  Kenzie loved that!!

Kenzie loves the beach so much.  She does her own thing and plays with her toys and is perfectly content.  She would stay there all day.  For a girl who hates getting dirty normally, it's funny to see her covered in sand and mud. Madison was not fond of the beach and didn't want me out of her sight.  Poor thing cried and cried.  Bebe was finally able to get her to sleep and she slept the whole time we were there.  I wanted to get one picture of her on the beach and she was screaming the whole time. We packed up and headed back to the hotel to clean up and get all the sand off of us and met back up for a late lunch at Rainforest Cafe.

Kenzie loves it there.  It's the coolest little restaurant. She suckered her Bebe and Papa into buyer her and Madi little babies and then we said our goodbyes and headed back to our hotel to go swimming.  I'm so glad that our vacations overlapped and we were able to spend some time away with them.  Madi loved swimming, Makenzie on the other hand......not so much.  She wore her floaty the whole time and was terrified the WHOLE time.  We had to hold her and would cry and grab onto anything she could grab on to.  It was a beating.

We cut it short and went upstairs to go to bed.  It had been a long day and the girls were exhausted. It was a great first day to our vacation!!!
