Snow!!!

Friday morning we drove to Dallas's birthday party in the cold, but it was dry!!!!  We left in a blizzard!!!! Crazy!!!

Kenzie had fun jumping with all her friends and Madi scarfed down 2 cupcakes!!!!  We went home and had all our friends over to play!!  Hunter and Ashley, Presley, Brady and Shannon and Korie and Dallas!  Sarah and Kylie came over with big brother Cody too!  We ordered pizza and played!  The kiddos enjoyed going outside to play in the snow!!

They loved the snow!!! Madi was taking a nap or she would have been out there rolling around too!!!!  I spent the rest of the night cuddling with the girls in my warm bed watching cartoons until Scotty brought home dinner for us!!!!  After bath and bed, Scotty and I headed upstairs to watch dateline and get some more Just Between Friends stuff done!!!!  I'm getting closer to being done!!!!

Iced in and slumber parties

Sunday we had 2 birthday parties to go to. Busy day!  We missed the first one due to rain, traffic and not being able to get out of town!  The next one was a Frozen party and Kenzie had a blast!

That night Koko came over to spend the night!  Dallas was with his daddy and we were predicted to be iced in on Monday.  We went upstairs and did a huge chunk of our Just Between Friends stuff.  We woke up to sleeting and everything covered in ice.  Scotty still had to go to work and so did Lance so Dallas came over to play too!  We got the kids dressed to go outside and play.  

They lasted a whole 2 minutes before they cried to come in because it was too cold! The rest of the afternoon was spent painting canvases for the playroom and putting together a bookshelf with more cubbies! 

It turned out so cute!  I think I'm going to do more paintings to finish going up the wall!!  We snuck out and went to dinner.   The roads were ok for the most part but we did hit a pretty icey bridge!!!!

We had another slumber party which meant more Just Between Friends work upstairs. I had a rough night with Madi and she ended up in our bed.  Kenzie was already in our bed so Dallas and Koko could sleep in her bed!!!  I'm so ready to get a full nights sleep again!!!!

Today the roads were better so we ventured out to Target to do some shopping!!

I found a chair for the playroom and we picked it up on the way home!!!  It looks so good in there!  We had such a great time being iced in together!!!! We are predicted to get 1-5" of snow tonight!!!!

Happy Birthday Papa

Saturday morning we headed out to run some errands and then came back to play!

Mom took Kenzie home with her and I tried to lay Madi down to take a nap so I could nap.  She wasn't having it! I sent the wrong kid away dang it.  They all took naps at Bebe's house.  We ended up getting dressed and heading to Target before meeting everyone for Papa's birthday dinner!

Great food and even better company!!!

RIP Nicholas

Sweet baby Nicholas was laid to rest today.  He had a beautiful service and his mommy and daddy handled themselves with such grace.  There was a red balloon release at the end and I know he loved that!

My heart breaks for Laura and Jason having to go thru this.  

Wednesday....

We were up and at em' early for soccer this morning.  Kenzie loves going to soccer.  (and she's really good)  I love watching her learn new things and succeed at them. 

She is a super fast runner.  I'm pretty sure its her left super wing that she flaps when she runs.  I love it. 

 Dallas and Kenzie fought over a ball near the end of practice.  I was taking their pictures and caught it all.  These two love each other like crazy and they fight equally as bad.

After soccer we went by Korie's house to get our freezer out of the garage and brought it back home.  The back hatch would close so Korie sat in the back and held onto it. 

When we pulled up at the house my front door was wide open.  We went in and out thru the garage door this morning so I was very freaked out.  Korie suggested calling 911 to come have them check it out just in case.

Never a dull moment I swear.  Everything was fine inside but I have no clue how the door opened.  The kiddos played while Korie and I got all our clothes ready for the Just Between Friends sale.  So much to do still.  They had a good time and we did get a lot done. 

Madi has been eating like a champ the past few weeks.  Today she got to try whip cream for the first time.  It was a hit.  She squealed and laughed the whole time.   We spent the rest of the day playing and finishing upstairs with our massive piles of clothes.  When Scotty got home we made tostadas and all ate together!!!

This girls is climbing on everything.  She can scale these chairs in a second.  Today I caught her in Makenzie's barbie jeep motorized car.  She climbed over the side and was ready to take a ride.

A little catch up

The last few days have been an emotional roller coaster!!!  I'll start with Saturday, Valentine's Day.  It was so hot outside so we put our shorts on and walked to the park with Sarah, Kylie and Cody.  It was so crowded since it was such a nice day so we didn't stay long.

Bebe and Papa came by and brought us some goodies.  Papa did his normal and laid down and went to sleep and Kenzie snuggled up next to him.

She loves her Papa.  Scotty came home and brought us dinner and some wine and we called it a night.  Such an old couple now!!!  Sunday Kenzie and I picked up Bebe and we went shopping.  It was like the old days.  The 3 muskateers!!  Kenzie was good (Bebe was good) and we had a great time!

We took Bebe home and came home and Scotty and I tried a new recipe and cooked dinner together.  It was fun.  We don't get to do that often.  He went and got us some ice cream for a treat.  Madi has officially discovered the greatness of ice cream.

Korie picked me up and we went shopping for Dallas' birthday.  I love late night shopping!!  Unfortunately I got the call around 10 that sweet baby Nicholas had passed away.  Devestated  I know his body was tired of fighting and in pain and he had endured so much in his short life but it's just so unfair.  My heart just breaks for Laura and her entire family.   I cried all night off and on and ended up getting Madi out of her bed so I could snuggle her.  Monday was Dallas' 4th birthday.  I can't believe he is 4.  I love him so much and love the bond that him and Kenzie have.  We met them for lunch with Shannon, Presley and Brady too.  A birthday wouldn't be a birthday without ice cream so we stopped for a treat on the way home.

We came home and snuggled in my bed watching cartoons together for the rest of the afternoon!

Today Bella came over while Laura and Jason made final arrangements for Nicholas. 

Sweet girls!  Sarah and Kylie came over to play too. All the littles crashed and burned at the same time. Bella went home with her parents and the rest of us laid down for naps.

I think Madi is teething and not feeling 100%.  I can't remember the last time she fell asleep on me.  She's been running a low grade fever and chewing on her fingers like crazy.   I embraced it and snuggled her and took a nap with too.  My amazing neighbor next door brought us over dinner since she knew Scotty was late tonight.  So sweet.  She came back over with Kylie later and we made margaritas while the girls played in the bathtub.  Good parenting at its finest!!!

(Couldn't find a measuring cup for ounces so had to revert to the baby bottle.....don't worry I lost the nipple to it so it's an extra)

It was a good day!!!  

Jumping, play date and Valentine's

Friday we had our usual play date at the trampoline park.  We had Bella with us so her family could spend the day with Nicholas.  The kids did their thing and ran around crazy.  I gave my ankle a rest and didn't jump. 

We grabbed some lunch on the way home and then played in the playroom for a bit before we moved it outside.

At one point we had 5 toddlers, a big brother and 2 babies playing.  It was nice to let them run wild and visit with the mommies.  After everyone left we came inside for Kenzie to fill out her Valentine's.

We had a great day spent with great friends!!!
