Perfect day

Some days I wonder how I'm doing as a mom!  Some days are easier or harder than other days.  Some days I know I did a good job and other days are a struggle!  Today went in the win column!  We had such a good day!  We got up and ready and all of us headed to swim lessons!  This was our first class since Monday got rained out and Tuesday was Kenzie's last day of school so we didn't some!  Kenzie's class was first and she did amazing!

Her teacher was so impressed with how well she did!  Madison and I were in the next class and daddy did a good job taking some pictures of us!  

We sang songs and swam to get toys and brought them to the wall and counted to 10 while she hung onto the side!  Madi did really good!  No crying and did everything she asked her to do! We grabbed some lunch on the way home and Madi laid down for a nap!  I took this time to get in a little cardio.  For the next two weeks I won't be able to go to the gym in the mornings because of swim lessons!

Madison woke up right as I was finishing and we got ready and went to the pool.

We came home and went strait to the backyard to eat Popsicles and have a water gun fight!  It was SO MUCH FUN!

I was doing spin ninja rolls on the trampoline.  We were soaking wet and laughing so hard!  Daddy grilled out hamburgers and we had a picnic.

After dinner we went and got ice cream at Sweet Frog and I even talked Scotty into running into Home Goods and getting some pillows!  I am in the process of redoing Kenzie's room and our room!  I'm picking up pieces here and there and I'm really excited!  I ended the night with a nice relaxing bath and then a spray tan!  I did it this time by myself so we'll see how this one turns out!

Last day of school

Monday morning we were up and off to our first swim lessons!  The girls go everyday for the next two weeks and I'm excited to see their progress!  It was pretty cloudy and rained on us on the way but she told us we would still swim unless there was lightening!  As soon as I pulled in her driveway a huge clap of thunder and lightening boomed across the sky!  Our first day was cancled!  Whomp whomp!  We came home and played for the rest of the day until gymnastics!  Tuesday was Kenzie's last day of school!  I can't believe it!  

OMG look how big she has gotten just in a few months!  She needs to SLOW down!  They had a "wacky water" day and got to wear their bathing suits and play all day!  

Madi and I ran a bunch of errands after her gymnastic class and then didn't have enough time to go home so we went to Kenzie's school early!  They were watching a movie and playing at centers so we joined in!

Kenzie loved her teachers so much!!  So did I, they were wonderful!  I put together a little end of the year/start of the summer gift for the girls!!  It had bubbles, sidewalk chalk, nail polish, Chapstick, candy and water guns.

We came home and changed clothes to go swimming!!  The water was freezing but it didn't stop the girls!  Some of our friends were up there and we spent a few hours playing!

I am so looking forward to our summer days lounging at the pool!  It feels a lot "easier" this year too!  I'm able to watch Kenzie in the big pool swim and Madi toddles around on the step with her floatie on and I can lounge on the side and tan!!  We came home and waited on daddy to get home and suprise attacked him with squirt guns!  

Another weekend in the books

We had an intruder during story time one night!  He started at the foot of the bed and then twinkle toed his way up to the pillows and laid between us!  Kenzie thought it was the funniest thing that has ever happened!!

Saturday morning Kenzie had a t-ball tournament and these were the last games of the season!  I'm pretty sure we have a future first baseman!  She did so good this season and absolutely loved playing!  They got trophies at the end of the second game!

Madison was so over tball!!  This girl is going to be the death of me I swear! The night before she didn't let us sleep and ended up in our bed!  I was so exhausted that we came home and all of us took a 3 hour nap!  Between no sleep the night before and the heat from sitting at the ball fields I wasn't feeling so great! The nap did us all good and we ran to the store and got some treats and came home and watched a movie and had some popcorn and candy!!  Sunday Bebe and papa finally came home from their cruise and came to get Ike!  We are going to miss that big mutt!  I took a nap with Madi and then it was time to go to the end of the season tball party!

The girls had fun swimming and did way better than I expected!  Madi floated around in her little floatie and Kenzie swam all over the pool!  

Runaway

Tuesday after graduation, Madison and I came home and laid around until it was time to pick sister up from school.

She is SO silly and I love hearing the things she comes up with and says!!  We picked sister up and stopped to get an ice cream on the way home!  When we got home we played in the backyard  for awhile.  I set up their water tables since it was pretty warm outside!  Kenzie had the hose filling up one and Madi had her back to her playing at the other one!  Kenzie turned around to look at the other table and sprayed Madi across the face.  She panicked and turned back around which sprayed her back across the face and pissed Madison off!  All I could do was laugh!  We went inside to change Madison and Kenzie came out of her room with her blanket and 2 toys and said she was leaving here and going to find a new house to live in!

Her first little runaway attempt!  I told her I will always be able to hunt her down!  After dinner we took Ike for a walk!  It was more like him taking me for a walk while I pulled the girls in the wagon.

We played in the front yard until daddy got home and then went inside for baths.

I couldn't fall asleep last night!  Ike kept sneezing and shaking his head making his ears flap so I had to go put him in his bed.  About midnight our alarm announced the front door was open.  I almost had a heart attack jumping out of bed and running to turn on lights to see what was going on!  I guess it was just the wind, but all that excitement kept me up.  Today I went back to the gym and did my normal class and then I stayed for team training!  I am super sore still from Monday's class.  When I got home I cleaned out the pantry and fed the girls and then Kenzie and I went to a meeting with her Kindergarten teachers for an assessment.  

There were 3 teachers there and they all came out separately to tell me how amazing she is!  Every time I looked in there she was smiling and they were laughing.  They told me she did great on her assessment and gave us some stuff to work on over the summer!  Koko and Dallas came over later and hung out and we ended up doing spray tans on each other.  We perfected our technique this time and I think it's going to look amazing tomorrow!!!
