It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Kenzie was very excited that her elf Nick followed her to her Bebe's house.  She woke up and he was hanging from their ceiling fan.
When I went in to get Madi out of her bed, this is what I found.
Ahhh!!  I'm going to have to move her bed down a little before she decides she can climb over the side.  Madi and I went to pick Makenzie up and came home to take naps.  I tried to nap but decided to do some Christmas decorating instead.  I put up garland on the mantle and put the Christmas tree up. Our new tree is PERFECT for our house.  It is super tall and fits the wall I put it on perfect.
The girls and I picked up some new beads to go around it and when Scotty got home we put it on and it looks so good.  I'm going to try and do a crazy topper with different picks and some deco mesh around it too!!!  This morning Kenzie found Nick on the stair banister looking in on her playroom.
Scotty cooked up a yummy breakfast and then I snuck out to do some grocery shopping to get us stocked up for the week.  When I got home we all went in the backyard to play for awhile and enjoy the 75 degree temps before it gets in the 30's tomorrow.

Madi and I played in the grass while Kenzie and her daddy played softball......until Scotty hit every ball that we had over the fence and had to go around the block to the field behind our house to get them.  Kenzie and I went out front and finished the decorations.

Madi hung out in the garage while we decorated and I got a picture of her smiling and you can see all her teeth.  3 on top with one poking through and two on bottom with one poking through.  Love it.
We had a wonderful weekend and I'm so excited to be staying home tomorrow.  It will be my first official "stay at home mom" day.  I hope they take it easy on me!!!

Nick is back

We woke up to a surprise this morning.  Nick, Santa's elf, came back to see how Makenzie and Madison have been behaving.  He brought doughnuts for breakfast and even made 3 look like snowman.  Kenzie loves Nick.

Happy Thanksgiving

I have a lot to be thankful for this year.  I have 2 amazing, beautiful little girls, a wonderful husband, a new home that we are making our memories in, the best family a girl could ask for and fabulous friends.  I am so great full of everything I have in my life.

We started the morning out with the Thanksgiving parade on TV.  Kenzie loved it just as much as I did when I was her age.  We got ready and headed out to make the rounds to family.

We went to grandma and grandpa's house first.  Kenzie walked in like she owned the place.  We had a great visit and got to spend some time with Scotty's side of the family.
We headed to Bebe and Papa's next.  Delicious food, time with family and an afternoon nap is a perfect day in my book.

Scotty left early so he could be home in time for the Cowboys game.  Mom and I took the girls home to him a little later and then headed out to do some shopping. We did our annual Walmart trip.  We got everything we wanted and got out of there quick.  We sat in my car in line to pick up our big purchase longer than we actually shopped.
We do this every year and it's always so fun.  We ended up staying out until 3 this morning.  I'm too old to do that anymore and I paid the price today.  I was so tired all day!!!

Officially a stay at home mom

I'm unemployed.  My only job from here and out is to love on my babies everyday.  I am so excited.  It was bittersweet when I clocked out this afternoon.  This job has seen me through an engagement, a marriage, infertility, being pregnant, Kenzie, being pregnant again, Madison and moving.  I've had lots of milestones while working there.  I have made so many memories there and made so many friends, not just with coworkers but with my patients too.  But I am more excited to snuggle my babies everyday and watch them grow.  After I left work I picked Kenzie up and we headed to the movie theater to meet Korie and Dallas.  Kenzie had fun playing at the fountain and picking up acorns while we waited on them.
When she saw the fountain she said, "it's Elsa's fountain.  Here comes princess Kenzie".  So cute.

The movie was an adventure.  She was restless and could care less about watching the movie.  She wanted a drink, the whole time, went back and forth between sitting in my lap and Kories, had to go potty and fell through her seat and got stuck where it folds up.  I'm not kidding.  Needless to say I don't think we will be going to any matinees while I'm not working.

A victory dance and some patty cake

Korie and Dallas came over to play tonight after work.  I cooked dinner and after we ate the kids played a serious game of memory.  They were so cute when they would find a match.
OMG I was cracking up.  Korie gave Madi a sucker and she loved it.  She would all but lunge at it.  Madi has a cute new thing she is doing.  If you say patty cake she will start clapping.  It is so cute and she gets so proud of herself.
She is such a sweet happy girl.  Tomorrow is my last day of work.  I'm so excited but nervous too.

Chuckee Cheese

I had bribed Kenzie with taking her to Chuckee Cheese if she smiled at pictures yesterday.  She did a fabulous job so I had to uphold my side of the bargain.  I stopped and picked up Korie and Dallas and then we went and picked up Madi and then Kenzie.  She was so excited when she got in the car and saw everyone.  Off to Chuckee Cheese we went.  The kids ran around and did their thing while Korie and I chatted with Madi.
Kenzie gave Chuckee a hug and as she walked off said, "Chuckee is my best siend".  I love when she says that, and yes she says siend for friend.

Love these kids so much.  The last thing they wanted to do was climb up in the tunnels and slide down.  I headr Kenzie crying, loud, and looked around for her to find her face looking at me from 10 feet up in the air in a bubble.
Dallas joined her and they continued screaming and crying and would not come down.  I was so embarrassed.  I had to do the growl/yell through my teeth while my cheeks puffed out.  I was so mad.  I finally convinced her she better come down and Korie had to climb up to get Dallas.  Never again will they do that again.  We called it quits and headed home and the girls and I cuddled for awhile before bed.

Sweet babies.  I love them so much.

Family Pictures

This morning I woke up still swollen but maybe a teeny tiny better.  Mom came over and we ran a few errands.  I hid under sun glasses and a ton of make up.  A Christmas tree I have had my eye on went on sale and I scooped it up.  I'm so excited to get it set up and decorated.  I think I talked myself into thinking the swelling was better and we could pull off some family pictures.  My sweet family backed me up on that......mistake.  I look like a totally different person in the pictures that I have seen.  My face is so swollen beyond my normally big face!!!  We got all dressed and headed to the park and a tornado started.  It was so windy that the girls bows were blowing off their heads and across the field.  Hair was everywhere and we got slapped with hay and leaves depending on where we were sitting.

I'm hoping maybe she got one good one of the family, from a distance, that looks half way decent but I have a feeling we will be redoing them!!!

What a doozy of a day

Yesterday I picked up a little Indian from school.  They dressed up for their Thanksgiving feast.

We played in the playroom for awhile until daddy got off work and then we met him for dinner. We haven't been out in FOREVER so it was nice to get out of the house all of us together.

When we got home I finished hanging up the last of Madison's room and took the final picture.

I am so pleased at how it turned out.  My next plan is to finish Kenzie's and go from room to room until the whole house is done!!!

This morning my alarm went off at 6am, love when I forget to turn it off for the weekend.  My eyes felt a little swollen but I went back to sleep anyways.  When Madi woke up aroun 8:30 I stopped to look in the mirror first and didn't even recognize myself.  My eyes were so swollen I could barely see out of them and I was covered in hives.  I'm thinking I must be allergic to some new vitamins I started taking on Thursday, other than that nothing else is new.  I loaded up on Benadryl which knocked me out.   I was half passed out on the couch and noticed Madi put something black in her mouth.  I figured it was a raisin that her sister had just dropped and lunged at her and tried to get it out.  I couldn't get it so Scotty came over and put the hook move on her and dug out........a freaking CRICKET.  Are you kidding me???  Nasty baby.
It came out missing a leg and I'm hoping that leg was already missing before it entered her mouth.  Yuck.  Madi went down for a nap and Kenzie was content playing on the Ipad so I was able to rest my eyes for about an hour.  My friend came over and put up our Christmas lights on the house.  I had to explain my poor swollen face to him because I could see the horror on his face when I opened the door.
It looks so good. (there are lights that go around the archway to the porch but we had to go get another plug to plug them in and it was pouring down rain when we got home)  I'm so excited to have them done and hopefully we can do the Christmas tree tomorrow.  Of course we have family pictures scheduled for tomorrow so I'm hoping, fingers crossed hoping, that the hives and puffiness goes away before then.

Counting down the days....

I can't believe this week is already almost over.  The countdown is on to my last day and I can't wait. Monday night was pretty rough with Madi.  She was fussy and clingy and felt warm.  We (Madi and I, you didn't think her daddy even heard her do you....)were up all night.

Scotty brought her to the doctor Tuesday and she has another ear infection.  Poor girl!  She went to the sitter while he went to work for a little while and then he picked Makenzie up and they had a daddy daughter date.  She has so much fun when they go and I love how excited she is when she gets home and tells me all about it.  Wednesday night Korie and Dallas came over and we took the kids to Chick fil a for dinner and to play.  The kids had so much fun playing and sliding.
Kenzie had dance tonight and they left the curtains open so us moms could peek in.  They are so stinking cute.
They have a little routine they have been working on for their Christmas show they are doing.  I can't wait to see.  Madison played with her boyfriend while we waited.
Sweet babies!  We came home and ate dinner and then got check ups from Dr. Kenzie.

I sure hope she becomes a doctor so she can take care of her mommy and daddy when we get old.  I took Kenzie to bed to read a story and a little baby kept crawling back into the room every time her daddy would put her down in the living room, so we let her join in to read.

I love these sweet girls more than words can ever say.  I have several friends going through the hardest times probably of their whole lives.  My heart aches for them.  I thank God everyday for my healthy happy kids and pray daily for my sweet friends and their babies.
