Weekend wrap up

Mimi came to spend the night Friday with us!  We spent most of the night in "Mimi's" room playing in Makenzie's kitchen.  She will grab our hands and say "Mama come, mama come" and if you don't come right away she says "plEASE" very desperately.  It's really cute.  If you are sitting she tries to lift you up and if your standing she tries to pull you down to sit.  She saw her tea set on the top of the kitchen and wanted it.  Without even thinking about it she opened her cabinets up and climbed right up.  She has never done that before--we're in trouble!

After Kenzie went to bed, Mom and I headed out to Walmart to get a few things.  The main reason was to get me some medicine.  I checked with the pharmacist for what he recommended I take for my symptoms while I'm pregnant---long story short--I was guilted into walking out with no medicine.  Saturday we woke up with intentions of garage saling, however I woke up with fever and no sleep from coughing all night and my throat on fire.  Mom took Makenzie home with her so I could get some rest, she is the BEST.  I laid in bed all day and felt a little better with some sleep.  I went to pick up Makenzie and met a lady that sold me a fetal doppler on the way.  I was so excited (and nervous) to try it out when I got there.  Thankfully I was able to hear the heartbeat (I read online that mostly you hear the heartbeat with a home doppler about 12 weeks) it was so nice.  Kenzie thought it was the funniest thing ever and laughed the entire time.  When I was done she laid down and we did her tummy (the machine was off).
Today we were supposed to do Makenzie's 2 year pics with some family pictures, but we woke up to rain.  I was so disappointed.  I had stayed up late the night before getting everything together and ironing clothes and packing the car.  Instead we made cinnamon rolls and hung around the house until Scotty had to leave for a fantasy football meeting.  We loaded up and went to Mimi and Papa's house to play and wait for daddy to get done.  While she napped at home with Papa, mom and I went and ran some errands.  I finally got everything for Makenzie's birthday party goody bags.  Scotty came and picked me up and we headed to Juan and Vanessa's baby shower.  It was fun and so good to hang out with everyone.  We went back and picked up Makenzie and before we left to come home, she discovered the greatness of riding on her papa's back like a horse.  She giggled so hard.

Tonight we moved Makenzie's kitchen into the dining room.  As cute as it is having her take us by the hand and pull us into the front room to play, it is very inconvenient.  The final plan is to take out our table and move her bigger toys there so she can play.  It doesn't look the best but at least now she can play and have us close too.

If I wake up in the morning feeling the same way I feel today, I'm going to the doctor.  Fingers crossed I wake up feeling so much better.  I'm over this!!!
